# Coinbase stock tokens top $1 billion in trades, but thin pools leave holders exposed on the way out

Cumulative trading in Coinbase's stock tokens has reached roughly $1.02 billion. That figure seems comforting until the moment you want out. On Sept. 23, the pools that would take the other side of a sale held a combined total of about $12.97 million.The two numbers are not measuring the same thing.
