Recently, the Sauber F1 team underwent a major rebranding. The team is now known as the Stake F1 Team as announced by the team’s notable promoter, Grammy Award-winning rapper Drake, who is also a spokesperson for the crypto gambling site Stake.

The team formerly associated with the Italian luxury car brand Alfa Romeo is entering a new era with its rebranding. In 2023, the team was referred to as the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake, which reflected a transitional phase of sponsorship. Effective from the start of 2024, the team is now renamed as Stake F1 Team, indicating a deeper commitment from Stake in the world of high-speed motor racing.

Drake’s Influence and Advocacy

Drake’s association with Stake dates back to late 2021, and he has since been one of its most prominent advocates. Despite Twitch’s ban on broadcasting most forms of gambling as of September 2022, Drake had previously engaged audiences with live streams of his gambling activities on the platform. He is known for his frequent betting, sharing his experiences, and even producing videos related to Stake’s roulette games.

Drake’s interest in gambling extends beyond traditional platforms, merging with his fascination for cryptocurrency. His wagering activities are not limited to small stakes; reports suggest he placed bets totaling over $1 billion in late 2022. Additionally, his enthusiasm for cryptocurrency is evident through his public display of a Ledger hardware wallet, signaling his investment in Bitcoin.
