Gatcha Monsters Raises $3M in Seed Funding Led by Animoca Brands

Gaming studio Gacha Monsters has achieved a significant milestone in its growth journey by raising $3 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Animoca Brands, a prominent player in the Web3 gaming venture capital domain. Other notable investors include, Infinity Ventures Crypto, FBG, and Big Time Games.

The investment funds are intended for an important phase in Gacha Monsters’ development strategy. The company plans to use this investment to improve and expand its intellectual properties (IPs). These efforts are focused on delivering a diverse range of gaming experiences, encompassing multiple titles that are currently in development. Gacha Monsters uses a unique approach that combines original IPs with established ones, with the goal of creating a seamless integration of traditional and interactive entertainment forms.

Poglin: An Exciting Blockchain-Based Card Battle Game

Among Gacha Monsters’ exciting projects is its inaugural IP, Poglin. Poglin is designed to be an immersive world populated with mythical creatures, set to launch its alpha version in the first quarter of 2024. This game promises to introduce players to an enchanting universe where six tribes compete for dominance in the mystical realm of Haven. Poglin is a free-to-play,
blockchain-based card battle game. Collect Poglins, assemble powerful teams, and battle them head-to-head against live opponents.

Gacha Monsters has bigger plans for Poglin beyond the world of gaming. The company aims to create a comprehensive multimedia project, which includes adaptations into anime, video games, comics, physical merchandise, and an expansion into the Web3 space. This diverse portfolio reflects Gacha Monsters’ dedication to reaching audiences across multiple platforms and formats.

“I was impressed by the creativity and dynamism of the team at Gacha Monsters. I look forward to how Gacha Monsters will build on the lore and narratives of its debut title Poglin in a Web3 context as well as across multiple media formats.”
