Starbucks Korea recently unveiled an exciting and eco-friendly digital venture, the ‘STARBUCKS STAR★LIGHT’ NFT project. This pioneering initiative, a first in Asia, combines digital innovation with environmental consciousness, aligning with Starbucks’ dedication to sustainable practices.
Digital Innovation Meets Eco-Friendly Practices
The ‘STARBUCKS STAR★LIGHT’ project is designed to enhance the digital engagement of customers while promoting the use of personal cups, a move towards more sustainable living. By participating in this program, customers can collect ‘Eco Stamps’ each time they order a beverage using their own cups through Starbucks Korea’s Siren Order system. This initiative simplifies the ordering process and plays a crucial role in encouraging eco-conscious behaviors among its patrons.
“We hope that customers visiting Starbucks will integrate the use of personal cups into their daily lives and enjoy the unique experience of owning their very own NFT,” said Ryan Sohn, CEO of Starbucks Korea. “Starbucks Korea will continue to introduce a variety of promotions to offer our customers an array of eco-friendly benefits. “
Tiered NFT Rewards for Customers
Starbucks Korea offers three categories of NFTs – BASIC, CREATIVE, and ARTIST. Each NFT tier is accessible by accumulating several Eco Stamps: 5 for BASIC, 15 for CREATIVE, and 20 for ARTIST. These digital assets, created in collaboration with ‘Print Bakery’ and the artist ‘DADAZ,’ showcase unique artwork themed around reusable cups and tumblers. The limited availability of these NFTs adds an exclusive element to customer rewards.
The project started today, January 16th, sparking considerable interest among Starbucks fans. Many are eager to start collecting Eco Stamps and earn their unique NFTs. As the first of its kind in Asia, Starbucks Korea’s NFT project paves the way for other corporations to integrate sustainability with digital advancements, setting a new trend in the corporate world.
