Project Saturn represents an internal codename rather than a completed game. Gala Games announced it in 2022 as an unspecified sci-fi project — civilization brought to the brink, survivors establishing a foothold across distant stars — and held a Founder's Node vote before revealing the actual product: a fully licensed Battlestar Galactica strategy MMO developed by Revolting Games, created through Universal Games and Digital Platforms, eventually rebranded as Battlestar Galactica Eternity.

The framing resonates. The design emphasized 4X gameplay, not combat: each season opens with an invasion, players spawn near colony remnants across the Twelve Worlds, then expand territory, direct naval forces and heroes, and form groups deciding seasonal victory. A real media license is uncommon in this area, and recurring seasonal cycles provide sound structure for blockchain assets that would otherwise multiply infinitely.

Execution proved problematic. Chest NFTs began selling long before a playable version existed, and years after announcement there remains no public launch; the title appears abandoned. Earlier material describing moon discovery and material extraction near Saturn contradicts what was eventually disclosed, so readers should note the discrepancy.
