Konami has released the final trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall, and the game itself arrives on September 24 — later this week. It’s headed to PlayStation 5 and PC, and for anyone who has kept up with the teasers, this one feels like a closing argument.

Clocking in at roughly two minutes, the trailer goes all-in on atmosphere, staying in the same key as every teaser before it. Protagonist Simon Ordell takes center stage. The music carries much of the weight, and taken as a whole it serves as a proper introduction to the world Screen Burn has built alongside Konami.
Jovan Adepo — familiar from IT: Welcome to Derry, The Odyssey and Netflix’s 3 Body Problem — plays Simon. He isn’t shouldering the cast by himself: Terry O’Quinn (Lost, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live) appears as Richard, while Kezia Burrows (Observation) takes the role of Zoe.
Stranded on an island, holding a radio that’s more than a radio
The premise: Simon finds himself trapped on St. Amelia, a Scottish island shrouded in the fog the series is famous for. There’s no mainland in reach and no simple way off.
His key piece of kit is a handheld gadget called the “CRTV,” which also functions as a radio and is set to play a major role in the story. If you remember what a crackling radio signalled in earlier Silent Hill games, that detail alone should make you nervous.
A first-person Silent Hill — and that’s deliberate
The sharpest departure from tradition is the perspective. Silent Hill has always been a third-person series; Townfall abandons that in favor of a first-person view. The logic is simple: it’s designed to press the isolation and oppressive mood right up against you.
Enemies can be fought or avoided, and story-led puzzles have a real bearing on how the game unfolds. This is not a shooter with fog layered on top.
With three days to go, the fog over St. Amelia is about as dense as it’s going to get.
