Fabled Chronicles Opens Act I to Everyone, No NFT Required

Players without any of Fabled Chronicles’ NFTs can now jump into Act I of the studio’s MMORPG.

In a post on X, the studio wrote: “You do NOT need an NFT to play the game. Act:I is Free to Play. Explore, fight, climb, farm, rebirth. The full gaming MMORPG loop on Robinhood is open to everyone.”

The post left out several details: it gave no player count, no launch date for later acts, and no explanation of what NFT holders receive that free players don’t.

The core loop works without a wallet

This free-to-play pitch lines up with the way the project presents the game on its OpenSea collection page. That page states that the full RPG loop requires no wallet, and that players only need to connect one if they want to use crypto features.

The page also claims a single account works on iOS, Android, web and desktop via Steam, with progression, inventory and social state carrying over from one device to another.

These platform claims come only from the project’s own pages. No store listing or independent coverage turned up to confirm the Steam or mobile releases.

Where rebirth fits into the acts

The “Act” label is driven by the rebirth system. The project’s description says rebirth wipes a character’s level progression but opens up new lore acts.

From one act to the next, dialogue changes and quest lines shift. Permanent power gained through rebirth bonuses and rebirth skills stays with the player.

That makes Act I the starting point. The project hasn’t revealed how many acts are planned or when the next one will open.

The $LORE presale

The announcement comes in the middle of what Fabled Chronicles calls a “Presale Raid” for $LORE. On the presale site, the token is described as a “governance / economy rail for play, shop and progression perks, and future redeem / utility loops in the cross-play RPG.”

To take part, users connect a wallet, link an X account and finish quests to increase their allocation. Airdrop shares are weighted by presale ETH contributions, labeled “damage” on the site, together with eligible NFT holdings and any active campaign multipliers. According to the site, the five biggest contributors receive extra NFT bonuses.

Distribution happens after an airdrop snapshot and a claim window, which the site places around TGE and liquidity launch, without giving exact dates. The site adds that claim dates will be posted on official channels and that users don’t need to send funds to “claim.”

While the tweet presents the game as running on Robinhood, the presale page warns users that a Robinhood Wallet will switch to Ethereum Mainnet before they confirm, so presale ETH is transferred on Ethereum mainnet.

The NFTs

The project’s NFTs are relic portraits offered as an official collection on OpenSea, with the floor listed at 0.0007 ETH. Within the lore, every portrait is linked to a name, a class and a roll of fate.

Owning these NFTs boosts a wallet’s $LORE weighting under the airdrop formula. Following this week’s post, however, they are no longer needed to play.

Team

Fabled Chronicles says its developers are a veteran art team with over a decade of experience in game assets and illustration. It names five artists whose work spans character art through environments and UI, while development is led by the project’s unnamed founder.

Other games share the name, too. Fables, trading as $PROLOGUE, is a separate ve(3,3) DEX on Robinhood Chain, and an unrelated indie RPG demo called Fabled Chronicles has been available on itch.io for roughly six years.
