To mark 40 years of Castlevania, Konami is taking the series’ soundtrack on the road. This won’t be a gentle recital. A 25-piece power rock orchestra will play the music in Tokyo, London and Los Angeles.
Fans who are following the series right now will care most about one thing: the show includes the first live performance of music from the upcoming Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. The rest of the program covers the franchise from the original Castlevania game up to its modern entries.
The tracks fans will be waiting for
Konami has named several songs on the program: Bloody Tears, Vampire Killer, Divine Bloodlines, and Dracula’s Castle from Symphony of the Night. If reading those titles starts a bassline in your head, this concert was made for you.
The symphony comes from Lambert Jackson productions, and composer Adam Hoskins wrote brand-new arrangements and orchestrations for it. He has done this kind of project before, and done it well: he is the composer behind the Undertale: The Determination Symphony World Tour, which went viral.
Ticket sale dates
There are three performances, all in March 2027. Tickets go on sale on October 1 for every city, through the event’s official website:
Los Angeles sales start at 10 a.m. PT, and London follows at 12 p.m. BST. Tokyo uses a different system: a lottery-based pre-sale that begins at 12 p.m. JST. General sales for Tokyo will open at a later date.
Why rock and orchestra fit Castlevania
Castlevania’s music has had its own identity ever since the first game arrived in the 80s. Composer Michiru Yamane made that sound famous with Symphony of the Night, blending symphonic rock with searing melodies that no other franchise in the industry matches. A power rock orchestra doesn’t really reinvent this music. It gives the songs the full lineup they always seemed to call for.
Konami has officially licensed the concert, which makes it one of very few Castlevania concerts the publisher has approved.
Can’t wait until March?
Spooky season has already started, so you have something to watch now. In 2019, the Youth Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra played nearly two hours of the franchise’s music, including a special performance by Michiru Yamane herself.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, the next game in the series, comes out on October 15, 2026. That leaves roughly five months to learn its soundtrack before 25 musicians on guitars and strings play it live.
