The Sylvan faction arrived in Might & Magic Fates on Sept. 29 as part of the Sylvan Awakening update. The release includes more than 40 new cards, a new battle pass and a new “Stealth” mechanic.
The game’s official account announced the launch on X with “Sylvan Awakening is live!” and pointed to “40+ brand-new cards to collect” as well as the battle pass. The full patch notes went up on the game’s Discord server.

What’s in the battle pass
The developers revealed the battle pass a few days before the season went live. Its rewards include the Sylvan hero Ossir, an exclusive Limited Legendary Implosion, and animated Rare and Legendary cards.
The pass also comes with exclusive profile pictures, titles and card backs.
Ahead of launch, the team revealed cards from a Sylvan Key Bundle over several weeks, a few at a time. The bundle was sold on presale through the game’s official shop.
Immutable points to the Forge
Immutable, which partners with Ubisoft on the game, reposted the launch announcement and linked the new season to the Forge, a feature that came out shortly before it.
“And with the Forge’s recent release, you can now truly Own & Trade your entire collection,” Immutable wrote in its post.
The game’s website says the Forge lets players “transform your Might & Magic The Card Game cards into tradable digital collectibles.” According to the site, players can also use the feature to upgrade their collection and take their cards outside the game. A card that goes through the Forge is sacrificed, and the player gets its NFT version in return.
Ubisoft has said trading works only in eligible regions and goes through an external marketplace built on Immutable’s technology. The company calls the feature optional. It says the Forge gives no competitive advantage and that players can reach the top level without using it.
The official website does not list what the Forge costs or which cards are eligible.
Sixth faction
Sylvan is the game’s sixth faction. Fates launched with four factions: Haven, Necropolis, Inferno and Academy. Stronghold was added next, and its hero, Sandor, came through the Season 1 Hero Pass.
The game’s official X account and website now go by Might and Magic: The Card Game, although the X handle is still @MightMagicFates.
Background
Ubisoft and Immutable first announced Fates as a free-to-play trading card game set in the Might and Magic universe, with cross-play between platforms. The game entered early access on Feb. 16, 2026, on Steam, Android and iOS.
The game’s Steam reviews are mixed. Of 1,798 user reviews, 51% are positive. Over the last 30 days, 42% of 78 reviews have been positive.
