In Brief:
- Gods Unchained GODS $0.02512 ▼ -0.7% (official site) launches Reckoning, an 87-card expansion, on Oct. 13. Pack sales run for four weeks and close Nov. 10.
- This is the first time packs are NFTs: holders can keep them sealed, trade them or open them later.
- There are four pack tiers priced from $1.99 to $249.99, along with 12 variants and no Mythics.
Reckoning, the next Gods Unchained expansion, goes on sale Oct. 13. It has 87 packable cards, and sales end Nov. 10.
The biggest change is to the packs. The studio’s collector’s guide puts it this way: “Reckoning packs are NFTs you can hold, trade, or open whenever you’re ready.”
87 cards. Six domains at war. An ancient threat that doesn't negotiate. A plan built on a secret nobody was supposed to find out about — and the people who paid for it.

Earlier sets did not work this way. The collector’s guide sends readers to a separate article for details on sealed packs, and it does not say which marketplace or chain will be used.
A new premium tier joins the lineup
Each Reckoning pack contains six cards. The $1.99 Booster pack is mostly commons, with a chance at a rare or better.
For $19.99, a Premium pack guarantees one Epic and one Legendary. The $199.99 Shiny pack holds only Epics and Legendaries, at a higher shine level.
A fourth tier sits above both. The Mega Shiny pack costs $249.99 and holds six Epic or Legendary cards plus one guaranteed high-shine Legendary.
The guide gives no supply caps for any tier. This year’s two earlier sets, Roots of Ruin and The Waking Plague, each limited their $1.99 packs to 20,000 units.
Card distribution
Each of the six god domains (Death, Deception, Light, Magic, Nature and War) gets 12 cards: four commons, three rares, three Epics and two Legendaries.
The other 15 cards are neutral: three commons, three rares, three Epics and six Legendaries. That is the most Legendaries in any part of the set.
Across all 87 cards, that adds up to 27 commons, 21 rares, 21 Epics and 18 Legendaries. There are no Mythics.
The studio teased the expansion on X in four short lines: “87 cards. Six domains at war. An ancient threat that doesn’t negotiate.” The post then hinted at a plan built on a secret that was never supposed to come out, and at the people who paid for it.
Variants and promos
Reckoning has 12 variants in total, and nine of them come from packs.
Booster packs can drop three: Harald Until Death, Rear Admiral Thibbs and Divya No Longer. Premium packs carry two: The Bishop and The Swollen Terror.
Shiny packs offer Vesper Relentless Adjudicator, The Amorphous Mass and Ella Combat Painter. The Mega Shiny tier has one variant of its own, What Glorious Fortune.
Every pack tier can also drop a packable Legendary Promo. According to the guide, this is the first time one has been added to the general pool. The guide does not name the card.
The six Squeaklings promo cards, one per child, are still in Premium, Shiny and Mega Shiny packs. They have been mintable in every 2026 release.
Rewards outside the packs
Reckoning’s commons come through Battle Pass 19. Whale Battle Packs include The Thirsting Syphon variant.
There are also two legend pack rewards. Sealed mode players who reach seven wins earn Psychic Quake, and five wins in Conquest earns The Colorless Shape.
The Divine Tithings discount program is staying. Players can burn existing cards for “up to 35% off a single pack purchase,” the guide said, but one burn transaction can’t mix pack types.
The year’s third expansion
Reckoning follows two smaller releases in 2026. Roots of Ruin came out Feb. 17 with 44 cards and introduced the Everborn, a neutral tribe. The Waking Plague followed on June 16 with 46 cards.
Both of those sets had three pack tiers. Reckoning adds a fourth, and the step up is small: the Mega Shiny pack costs $50 more than a Shiny pack and adds one card.
