Battlestar Galactica’s next installment isn’t being written for the screen. It’s being built for the display shelf, and parts of it will be restricted to just 500 units.

Master Replicas has confirmed that it is developing four more Limited Edition Battlestars, set for release from the second half of 2026 through 2027. That means the Colonial Fleet on your shelf is about to grow once again.

No complete release schedule has been published so far. Even so, the phrasing is significant: the company is talking about four further Battlestars, which will join a collection that has already expanded substantially during 2026.

Two of the four may already be on sale

Two probable entries in that upcoming wave have surfaced since the July announcement. Master Replicas has begun selling Limited Edition models of the Cerberus and the Prometheus, both limited to 500 units and scheduled to ship in October 2026.

The trivia here runs deep: neither vessel showed up in the original 1978 series. According to Master Replicas, Cerberus, Prometheus and Solaria were names set aside for additional Battlestars had the show carried on.

That makes Solaria the leading contender for one of the two remaining spots. Master Replicas groups it alongside Cerberus and Prometheus in its own product descriptions, so skipping it at this point would be an odd move.

Count the original fleet and Triton is the obvious gap

Triton is the other strong possibility. Over the course of the original series, eight Battlestars were mentioned: Galactica, Atlantia, Acropolis, Columbia, Pacifica, Pegasus, Rycon and Triton.

Master Replicas has previously stated its intention to produce models of all eight. Atlantia has already received a 350-piece Limited Edition run. Tick off the others and Triton stands out as the only ship from the original lineup yet to be made.

How the fleet got this crowded

Four ships arrived from the company earlier this year: the Pacifica, Columbia, Acropolis and Rycon.

The Rycon is the notable one. While several of the other models were based on expanded material, the Rycon was identified in the original television series as the ship of Commander Kronus.

That group joined Galactica and Pegasus, which were already part of the range, rounding out more of the wider classic Colonial fleet.

Meanwhile, the TV question is still unresolved

These replicas are landing at a time when the franchise’s future on screen remains uncertain. In 2024, Peacock abandoned its long-in-development new Battlestar Galactica series, and there is no major television revival on the near horizon.

Since then, fans have become increasingly vocal about what a comeback ought to look like. One group wants yet another full reimagining. Another would prefer the 2000s continuity remain untouched, favoring a series set in some other part of the universe.

A third group believes Ronald D. Moore’s acclaimed series told its story so effectively that a further reboot is unnecessary, and that any such effort would be pummeled by critics and fans alike.

Even so, very few sci-fi franchises have reinvented themselves as successfully as this one. The 1978 original ultimately paved the way for the hugely influential 2003 reboot.

Should Master Replicas ever venture beyond the original continuity, more daring choices are available. The Valkyrie would be a major pick from the 2004 series, given that William Adama commanded it before taking charge of Galactica. For the moment, though, Triton and Solaria suit the company’s classic-fleet strategy, and either could feature in the run that takes the collection into 2027.
