Introduction of Primora in OCH World
Onchain Heroes has launched the World’s Eve phase, featuring Primora as its first playable zone in OCH World. This rollout is not merely a test but a dynamic prologue actively shaped by ongoing player actions and evolving events.
Primora and the Maze of Gains are connected systems, reacting to each other’s developments in a manner designed to surprise, driven both by game design and user engagement within the environment.
Persistent Gameplay in New Structures
Primora presents a challenging new frontier rich with resources, enemies, and diverse activities such as mining, forging, and cooking, aimed at deeply engaging players. Unlike previous iterations of the franchise, OCH World abandons seasonal resets, allowing for uninterrupted character and story progression. Primora sets the stage for further expansion, with new areas expected in future updates.
The release, initially planned for Q4 2025, was postponed to early Q1 2026 to polish systems and synchronize with strategic partnerships.
Transition to Hybrid Infrastructure
Moving away from a fully onchain system, which proved expensive and slow, Onchain Heroes has shifted to a hybrid model that combines onchain financial transactions with offchain gameplay management. This enhances operational efficiency and game complexity, cutting down data indexing times from four hours to approximately 20 minutes and reducing overhead costs significantly. The updated framework also introduces an in-game marketplace that supports seamless in-client trades using onchain payments for transactions but offchain handling for item exchanges.
Dynamic Gameplay Integration
The Maze of Gains, initially a standalone dungeon crawler offering ETH-based rewards driven by skill, is now intricately linked to the broader OCH World through Primora. This integration echoes throughout the gameplay as developments in Primora influence outcomes in the Maze, establishing a synergistic relationship between the two components.
The $HERO token remains central to both realms, being used for entry fees and purchases, with signals from the development team suggesting potential expansions in its utility and applications, including staking mechanisms.
Foundational Assets and Expansion Outlook
Genesis Heroes and Genesis Rings are key assets in OCH World, where all heroes begin with equal potential, differentiated only by aesthetic values. Rings confer token supply stakes and future airdrop accesses. A newly introduced Adventurers class lowers the entry threshold, enabling broader access to OCH World while maintaining the economic value of the Genesis Heroes.
As the first zone, Primora is just the start. The team is planning more zone launches and resources, promising biweekly updates to maintain an evolving game world.
