Seasonal Excitement with Eggceleration
Splinterlands brings a significant update this Easter, initiating the Eggstravaganza event which enriches gameplay through April 15. The spotlight is on the Eggceleration ruleset, where each unit receives a stat enhancement at the end of every round. Unlike previous conditions such as Bloodlust or Martyr, Eggceleration provides an automatic boost, significantly altering gameplay dynamics.
New Content and Cards on the Horizon
The announcement of the ninth and final Conclave Arcana card, Dragonlord Mancer—a Legendary Dragon Archon—has been keenly anticipated, though its exact release date has not been disclosed. Moreover, players can look forward to two new land-craftable cards with craftable skins, each capped at 60,000 copies.
Comprehensive Overhaul in Survival Mode
Following a governance vote, Survival mode has experienced a complete overhaul. The traditional SPS payouts have been replaced with a GLINT-based reward system focused on leaderboard performance. Players achieving a 50% win rate will receive a new reward card, with top performers earning additional copies and ranked draw tokens.
Game Mechanics and Payment Adjustments
Alongside the Easter festivities, new gameplay mechanics have been introduced. The Pandemonium ruleset randomizes unit positions at battle commencement. Adjustments have also been made to mana allocation in the Junior Varsity mode and other competitive formats. Payment processes have seen changes too, with Coinbase Commerce being phased out pending integration with Coinbase Business.
Aesthetic Updates and Bug Fixes
The Eggstravaganza includes an array of pastel-themed skins available for purchase, focusing on a formal rather than festive aesthetic. These skins are applicable to recent card generations and are priced at 600 GLINT each. The update also simplifies the acquisition of Splintervibes and enhances security for account changes. Several existing bugs have been addressed, ensuring smoother gameplay and user experience.
