Ambire, an open-source self-custodial wallet, has announced the launch of Ambire Legends, an on-chain game designed to educate and incentivize users about the benefits of smart accounts and account abstraction.
This campaign targets users of the Ambire wallet extension, which is currently in beta. The wallet has strong security features and supports both Smart and Basic Accounts on Ethereum and various EVM-compatible networks, including Polygon and Arbitrum.
The game, which launches on December 12, 2024, will allow users to earn rewards while learning the intricacies of smart account management. To participate, users must download the Ambire Wallet extension, create a Smart Account, and connect to the Ambire Legends dApp, starting their quest-filled adventure on specified networks like Ethereum and Base.
What Exactly is Ambire Legends?
Ambire Legends allows you to choose a character and start at level zero. When you take part in on-chain actions with your smart accounts, you earn experience points (XP). These points help your character level up and unlock rewards.
Notably, reaching higher levels may also yield $WALLET tokens, with the distribution amount being proportional to the user’s portfolio balance.
Additionally, 195 million $WALLET tokens have been allocated as incentives to foster the adoption of the Ambire browser extension.
“With the launch of our browser extension, we’re bridging the gap between traditional wallet models and the future of account abstraction,” said Ivo Georgiev, CEO of Ambire. “We are bringing our users a seamless way to transition from EOAs to smart accounts, providing both advanced security and enhanced usability. Ambire Legends is a critical part of this process, novelly educating and incentivizing users to experience the full potential of smart accounts in a way that’s both engaging and rewarding.”
Technological Advancements and Security Enhancements
Ambire’s browser extension stands out due to its integration of account abstraction, setting it apart from other wallet options. This feature supports traditional externally owned accounts (EOAs) and allows for the use of derived smart accounts.
This enhancement improves both security and user experience while maintaining the integrity of the EOA model. Targeted at Ethereum and Layer 2 enthusiasts, the extension includes advanced security protocols, such as protection against infinite approvals and compatibility with hardware wallets.
