The official site says the sign-up window started Oct. 8 and runs “until the grand opening.” NEXUS announced pre-registration on Oct. 22. Neither company has said when the game will be released.

Milestone rewards

NEXUS said everyone who takes part will get summon tickets and character growth items. As the total number of pre-registrations crosses set milestones, extra rewards unlock, including rare summon tickets and in-game currency.

Registration is open on ONEstore and Google Play. On the official site, the App Store page is still labeled “Coming Soon.”

Because of the ONEstore partnership, the game also comes with ONEquest, a quest service that hands out rewards, and ONEwave, a streamer platform. NEXUS said ONEwave will host guides and community activity.

How the token side works

Blockchain features are part of the global build only. The separate domestic version has none.

The official tokenomics page names Atra Coin as the main seasonal reward. “Atra Coin is earned through the Atra Ranking, which reflects gameplay performance over the course of a season,” the page said. A pool of 10,000,000 Atra Coin is handed out each season according to final ranking.

Ranking points come from Boss Subjugation, Boss Contest, Colosseum play, daily and season missions, and Atra Pass missions. A player’s Atra Pass level adds bonus points on top.

In the game, Atra Coin buys Atra Exclusive Items and Mileage Items. Players can also convert it into AtraX, which the page calls the bridge to the ONEChain ecosystem. There’s a five-minute cooldown on conversion.

Diamond, the second currency, converts into Mileage, and Mileage pays for Mileage Items. Apart from the seasonal Atra Coin pool, the tokenomics page gives no total supply or allocation percentages.

Six classes and Astel companions

Six classes are available at launch: Knight, Berserker, Assassin, Archer, Scholar and Mage. Astels, the summoned companions from the original Astellia, fight at the player’s side.

The global version is based on the mobile game Astellia M. According to NEXUS, character progression and combat balance have been reworked from that game.

Astellia 2 runs on PC and mobile, and progress carries over when players switch devices. English, Thai and Indonesian are among the supported languages.

Group play comes in two modes. Boss Conquest has several players teaming up to take down large bosses, while Boss Contest puts two teams against each other over the same boss.

Background

The original Astellia closed its Western service in October 2021. Astel of Atra, a blockchain version of the game, went live in December 2022 and shut down on Feb. 10, 2023.

ONEChain’s game account marked the new pre-registration with a class showcase. Only one entry on the official class page is written out in full so far: “Armed with a steel shield and unyielding resolve, the Knight leads the charge from the front line.”
