Car manufacturer BMW announced that it plans to integrate blockchain technology into its ecosystem for Thailand customers.
In detail, the German multinational automobile manufacturer intents to integrate decentralized tech by partnering with cross-chain computation platform Coinweb and Binance.
The integration of blockchain technology will come in two phases. Firstly, BMW will implement decentralized tech into its daily operations to handle services requiring manual processes and streamline financing services.
On the other hand, BMW will create a customer loyalty program that rewards customers with exclusive rewards. The loyalty program will be developed by Coinweb, while Binance’s BNB chain will handle all the transactions.
Coinweb CEO Toby Gilbert said to Cointelegraph that customers will be rewarded each time they buy a new car or they go for a service. Those are two examples.
