Each side of the deal contributes to the prize table. Those chasing position on the leaderboard are competing for $APE, $CHMPSTR, three Gimboz NFTs, and a Chimpers NFT at the very top of the ladder.
“Time to degen in the Dojo,” Chimpers said in the announcement.
What ApeChurch brings
Roughly 25 games sit on ApeChurch, spanning roulette, blackjack, slots, and original titles designed around ApeChain NFTs. The platform is non-custodial: funds either remain in user wallets or stay locked inside smart contracts, and settlement is handled on chain — meaning every round of play triggers three ApeChain transactions.
There is no house in the usual sense. Instead, a liquidity pool that anyone can stake into takes that role, with positions rising or falling on game outcomes and no guaranteed return attached. ApeChurch describes itself as “The first 100% transparent, open source, provably fair on-chain gaming platform.”
ApeChain’s official apps directory lists the platform under games, next to Otherside, Clutch Market, and Swords of Blood.
The Gimboz angle
Dropping Gimboz into the prize pool links the two audiences outright. Gimboz is ApeChurch’s own 4,444-piece collection, minted in March on contract 0x81c9ce55e8214fd0f5181fd3d38f52fd8c33ec38, and it sold out in early April as one of a run of ApeChain community mints.
Approximately 1,770 are currently staked on ApeChurch, while roughly 1,000 sit in a vault. Close to 1 million ApeCoin was wagered across the mint’s GTD and FCFS phases. Staked Gimboz earn GP, a currency holders put toward games of chance, loot boxes, scratch cards, and the marketplace.
Since then the floor has traded near 1,999 APE, against total volume of roughly 6.2 million APE.
Not the first ApeChain campaign
Chimpers has kept a steady shipping pace on ApeChain. Its Taco Dojo collaboration with Bones by Jarritos delivered 26 collectible cards featuring characters drawn from Chimpers, Bones by Jarritos, and the Bored Ape Yacht Club, along with physical trading cards, music, AR, and avatars.
Rewards in that campaign went deep. Leaderboard finishers received a Chimpers NFT, two Jarritos NFTs, 500,000 CHMPSTR, limited edition fridges, jerseys, T-shirts, and 3D avatars, though the fridges were limited to collectors with a U.S. delivery address. Collector rewards totaled more than 1 million CHMPSTR and 16,000 ApeCoin.
Rise of the Hybrids, an earlier drop, handed first place a Chimpers NFT, $1,000 in CHMPSTR, an Otherdeed, and a 1/1 custom Chimpi avatar.
Where CHMPSTR fits
The strategy token behind The Dojo Reserve is $CHMPSTR, built independently by TokenWorks — the same team responsible for PunkStrategy. Under the model, trading fees are channeled into a treasury that acquires the underlying NFTs while supply gets burned on the token side.
Close to 200 NFTs and 50 million CHMPSTR sit in the Chimpers treasury, funded through royalties, token fees, and company money, and it serves to stock reward seasons in the Dojo Club Collector Hub. As part of the partnership, Chimpers and ApeCoin completed an initial treasury swap between $APE and $CHMPSTR.
Chimpers itself consists of 5,555 pixel-art characters on Ethereum, released May 18, 2022, by Chimpverse with art by TimpersHD.
ApeCoin has spoken openly about the relationship, noting it has been building with Chimpers since ApeChain launched and is “honored to continue strengthening our partnership together in The Dojo.”
Its take on the collection now supplying prize inventory was rather less formal. Running through the ApeChain mints that had sold out, ApeCoin wrote: “@apechurch blessed us with Gimboz.”
