Coinbase, the well-known crypto exchange, is going to launch a “beta” version of its unfinished NFT marketplace.
Coinbase’s vice president revealed at a press briefing that the marketplace structure would adopt the functionalities of traditional NFT marketplaces and social media platforms. He also pointed out a community aspect to NFT ecosystems, and they’re more than designated spaces for exchanging assets.
Announced on Wednesday, the platform described its NFT marketplace as “designed to sell ownership of digital arts and possibly other items.” In this NFT marketplace, users like you and I could share our opinions and thoughts on digital art shown there. The Coinbase NFT marketplace will also allow users to view the profiles of creators and other users.
Following many big companies like Binance, Coinbase decided to expand into NFTs a few months after.
