In Brief:
- On Aug. 8, Critters Quest brought its mainnet game live on Solana, wrapping up close to two years of development plus a devnet beta.
- Access starts with Master Edition holders; Clone holders wait a further 24 hours.
- Circulating supply on day one stands at 120,000,000 $QUEST — roughly 3.3% — alongside another 100 million deployed that same day into liquidity pools for the in-game resource market.
The mainnet game for Critters Quest went live Aug. 8, handing Master Edition holders first entry into the Solana 4X title while Clone holders sit out a 24-hour delay.
“Critters Quest mainnet is OPEN,” the team wrote in a post on X. “Build. Gather. Craft. Hunt. Raid. Masters play first. Clones follow in 24h.”

Everything runs through the browser at game.critters.quest, and getting in means holding a Critter, $QUEST and SOL.
What the game asks players to do
The loop starts with building and upgrading a town, then dispatching critters to collect wood, stone, ore and herbs. Gear comes out of the blacksmith, gems are cut at the jeweler, and the alchemist handles potions.
Two paths open up after that. Four critters can form a squad for monster hunts, or a player can raid a rival’s town and walk away with a share of its vault. Underpinning it are seven factions, five equipment slots, themed sets carrying set bonuses, and gem sockets.
Every Critter NFT doubles as a wallet of its own, storing gear, resources and tokens. Whatever a player crafts, wins or loots becomes a tradable asset.
“Two worlds, one economy” was how the site framed the launch. World number two is Lucky Pick, the mining game that had gone live four days before at mine.critters.quest. Spending by players there bankrolls the Mine, the Mine distributes SOL and $QUEST to winners, and a slice of each round goes toward buying back and burning $QUEST.
A rollout staged across eight days
Mainnet capped off a sequence of steps. A 48-hour window for Pre-Mine deposits opened Aug. 1 at 12 p.m. ET. Claiming and staking arrived Aug. 3, giving holders a way to collect $QUEST and vault it. Lucky Pick mining came online Aug. 4.
Then Aug. 8 delivered both the 4X world and 100,000,000 $QUEST in resource pool liquidity, seeding the markets where wood, stone and ore trade against the token.
A price curve governed the launch pool, with a Meteora Alpha Vault accepting SOL deposits and sweeping as much as 20,000,000 $QUEST for pro-rata distribution to depositors at one average price. That left 30,000,000 on the curve. SOL that goes in never moves to a team wallet — it remains in the pool as permanently locked liquidity.
Where the supply sits
Within the 120,000,000 $QUEST circulating at launch, 20,000,000 belongs to the Pre-Mine Launch Pool: 10 million sold during the Pre-Mine and 10 million paired against it as pool liquidity. The 100 million sitting in resource LPs is counted as circulating, though it only makes its way to players who gather resources and sell them. The rest was locked from day one.
On top of that, 225,000,000 is marketing-locked and unlocks at a rate of 25 million per month starting Aug. 8, handled through Jupiter Lock.
Master Edition holders spent the past year staking their NFTs and contributed 313,380,224 $QUEST to the launch once the opt-in window shut March 2, 2026. From that total, 283,380,224 backs the Lucky Pick mining vault while 30,000,000 provides buy-side depth in the launch pool. Contributors collect 1% of all mining revenue for life. Add the resource seeds and about 433.4 million $QUEST is powering the launch.
Supply figures are published at critters.quest/supply, a page the project calls The Auditor, which lists total, circulating and gameplay-bound balances along with reserve accounts read straight off Solana mainnet. Mint authority has been revoked.
The NFTs behind the split
That 24-hour gap comes down to the Masters and Editions structure. Each Master Edition comes with a fixed $QUEST allocation and the right to mint 15 Clones, and it remains the vehicle for earning XP and $QUEST. There are 3,500 NFTs in the collection in total, with the original 2,500-item mint having launched Dec. 19, 2024.
Development was handled by Paradice Tech. Ahead of mainnet the studio ran a devnet beta known as The Gathering, which gated entry behind wallet verification of Genesis Quest staking status.
Two burns ahead of launch also removed 31,000,000 $QUEST from supply. The first covered 6 million that had originally been earmarked for seeding World Bosses and Monsters — a reserve that proved unnecessary once 5 million arrived from Terron spins and renaming fees over the past year.
