Introducing the MoonCryptoPolis – strategy online blockchain game that takes place on the virtual copy of the real Moon where players will be able to establish their very own moon bases and hunt for valuable resources to receive rewards in Ether.
All the game logic is running on Ethereum blockchain smart contracts. Major game assets (like sectors and moon bases) are ERC 721 tokens owned 100% by players and stored in their Ethereum wallets.
Moon surface is divided into 650 sectors, each with its own unique gaming map. Every sector has its own stock of resources (valued in Ether) that can be collected by players.
Acquire a Sector
Firstly, the sector shall be unlocked. Sectors ownership rights are initially sold on auction. The starting price for a sector depends on its size (starting at 2.5 ETH). Half of the price paid for the Sector will go to the Sector’s Resources Fund. This fund constantly grows as players are developing their moon bases.
Players will be able to access a sector gaming map and start acquiring land plots 24 hours after the owner takes its ownership. Sector owner receives part of Ether spent by every player within.
Claim Your Land Plot on The Moon
After the sector is opened its land plots become available for purchase. The initial cost for a land plot will start at 0.03 ETH. Land plots prices rise is hardcoded in the smart contract. When someone purchases a spare plot of land, it makes prices for surrounding 24 plots a bit higher.
Part of the land price is distributed amongst land plot owners in the 5×5 area, which means buying the first land plot inside the 5×5 area may double or even triple return after a number of land plots sold around.
Claiming land plots near resource spots is always a good idea, but what may be even more important once the game commences, is having plenty of space around to expand your base. For example, a large group of connected tiles would be extremely useful.
Build Your Moon Base
A Moon base is the core gameplay component. One player may have only one base in the sector. The way how it is built and developed is what defines a player’s success, as it then allows them to produce resources and progress throughout the game. It’s all about smart thinking, strategy, and planning. No random numbers are included (as no number generator is reliable within the blockchain).
Choosing the correct place to establish a moon base on a sector map is most likely to be one of the most important parts of the strategy. Fully constructed and well-maintained moon base produce resources that can be used to accomplish contracts for rewards in Ether.
Collect Resources Every Day
After the game starts everyone can use their moon base to excavate resources. There are two major types of resources in MoonCryptoPolis:
- Contained within Ore Spots to be then extracted from Ore – Titan, Platinum, Rare – Earth Metals, Gold. They are Produced by “Tunnel Mine” and “Sub-Surface Mine” with the help of “Refinery” moonbase module.
- Those can be excavated directly on any land plot: H2O, Helium3, produced by “Deep Mine” and “Quarry” moon base modules. In-game contracts allow converting resources directly to Ether. The more resources the contract is required the higher will be the price for a piece. That way resources could be easily withdrawn directly to player’s Ethereum wallet in the form of Ether. Resources can’t be traded between players.

Mix of High-tier Technology
MoonCryptoPolis is built using a well-proven mix of user-friendly HTML5 client and Ethereum digital wallet. That allows for running a graphically-rich game with high fidelity 3D scenes and almost realistic views of the moon with secure ownership of all game assets on any browser.
