A Bone Saw Staff. Lydia’s Blouse. Six hundred Apocalypse Tokens. That’s the shopping list now sitting in front of players of The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land — and for anyone who drifted away from the game, it may be the hook that pulls them back in.

On August 1, 2026, the mobile strategy RPG unveiled its next major seasonal event: the Eclipse Dune Campaign. A release date wasn’t part of the news. Both the campaign and its accompanying Survival Pass are described only as “coming soon,” and that’s the extent of what’s been shared.

What you’re grinding for

The currency driving all of this is Summer Tokens. Rack them up over the course of the campaign and swap them for the exclusive rewards: Lydia’s Blouse, Apocalypse Tokens, EX Tokens and the Bone Saw Staff.

The staff is the piece worth paying attention to. It’s a Scout-class weapon that strikes enemies in a line, and it carries two specialized abilities you’ll want to understand before building a squad around it. Fork Strike temporarily widens its attack area, while Surgery locks down an enemy’s movement and accumulates damage, unloading all of it once the turn wraps up.

That’s genuinely clever design. Rather than simply inflating numbers, it’s a weapon that rewards patience with a payoff.

The Survival Pass sweetens it

Eclipse Dune isn’t showing up by itself. Arriving alongside it is a new Survival Pass stocked with Bone Saw Staff: Dead City blueprints, 600 Apocalypse Tokens, Apocalyptic Maggie’s Jacket, Beth’s Notebook Support Tokens and a 20 Gold Radio.

For newcomers to No Man’s Land, the concept is straightforward enough. You gather and level up survivors and recognizable faces from the franchise, outfit them with weapons and armor, and send squads into turn-based tactical battles against walkers and whatever else a mission serves up. The game is free on Android and iOS, has cleared 10 million downloads on Google Play, and carries a 4.5-star rating.

The franchise keeps refusing to die

The Walking Dead outgrew its comic book origins years ago. What exists now is a sprawl: TV spin-offs by the dozen, video games, board games, and projects spread across whatever medium someone is willing to license.

The latest round of spin-offs leaned on the names audiences were actually invested in. Dead City, Daryl Dixon and The Ones Who Live each lifted a major character out of the flagship show, and all three were received reasonably well by fans and critics alike.

Of the trio, The Ones Who Live came out on top. Putting Rick Grimes and Michonne back together earned it an 88% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes. Dead City and Daryl Dixon currently stand at 78% and 74% respectively.

The gaming side has more in the pipeline too. Streets of Survival, an arcade-style side-scrolling beat-em-up, is on the way, and a free demo is already live on Steam if you’d like a taste before Eclipse Dune lands.

In the meantime, watch that Summer Token balance. Nobody’s building the staff for you.
