Farming Season’s Battle Arena is getting five-minute quick battles with unlimited retries and only the best run scored

Farming Season cover

In Brief:

  • Farming Season (official site) announced that quick battles are on the way to its Battle Arena. Runs last five minutes, players get unlimited attempts, and only each player’s best run counts.
  • On any given day, every player fights the same enemies. The tweet names goblins, skeletons, ghosts, bats, archers and the minotaur.
  • A paid daily arena challenge already exists on Robinhood Chain. Entry is $0.10 paid in SEASON, and the top 10 players split 80% of that day’s entries.

The official Farming Season account announced in a post on X that timed quick battles are heading to the game’s Battle Arena.

“Quick battles are coming to the Farming Season arena: 5 minutes, unlimited tries, and only your best run counts,” @farmingseasonio said.

How a run works

A run lasts five minutes, and the player spends it fighting the arena’s enemies. The post lists them as “goblins, skeletons, ghosts, bats, archers and the minotaur.”

All players get the same lineup. “Everyone meets the same enemies that day,” the account said. The post text available in the source data ends there, so it gives no launch date, entry cost or prize details for the new mode.

Players can retry as many times as they like. Only their best result gets scored.

The existing daily challenge

Farming Season’s official player guide at farmingseason.io/docs already covers a quick-battle format, used in the arena’s daily challenge. Those runs last 10 minutes, double the length given in the new announcement.

According to the guide, “each challenge run is a 10-minute quick battle with a $0.10 entry, paid in SEASON when it starts, and it costs no energy.” The guide calls SEASON “the game token on Robinhood Chain.”

Payouts happen daily. “After 00:00 UTC the top 10 share 80% of the day’s entries, and the other 20% goes to the reward pool,” the guide said.

Boosts can be bought during challenge runs. Spending is capped at “up to $0.50 a run,” per the guide, and individual boosts such as health potions and damage boosts cost between $0.05 and $0.25.

The post leaves open whether the five-minute mode replaces the 10-minute challenge or runs alongside it, and whether it uses the same fee and payout split. The guide has not been updated with answers either.

Standard arena rules

The regular arena, outside the challenge, charges no entry fee and runs on energy. “Each life costs 5 energy,” the guide said.

Players unlock the arena at Town Hall level 1. The guide names nine regular enemy types: green slime, bat, goblin warrior, blue slime, goblin archer, goblin bomber, skeleton knight, ghost and wizard. Every five waves, one of two bosses shows up: the Minotaur or the Rat King.

Loot earned in regular runs counts against each level’s daily battle limit. “Enemies arrive at a steady pace, and each one carries loot,” the guide said. It adds that standard runs reward “skill and survival, not grinding.”

Background

Farming Season is a browser-based pixel farming game on Robinhood Chain. Players build farms, grow crops, raise animals, battle in the Battle Arena and join clans. The guide says clans also take part in a weekly clan race, with prizes split among the top three.

Entering the paid challenge costs real money. Every attempt is $0.10 in SEASON, and only the day’s top 10 players receive a cut of the entry pool.
