Farmers World is a browser-based resource extraction game on the WAX blockchain, not a farming simulator in the traditional sense. There are no fields to till by hand. You equip NFT tools — axes, saws and chainsaws for wood, rods, nets and boats for food, excavators for gold — click to mine, then wait out cooldowns of roughly an hour per tool. The three resources exist as tradable tokens (FWW, FWF and FWG), which is the primary focus of the loop.

What works is how transparent the economy operates. Tools possess durability that decreases with use and costs gold to fix; energy decreases as you play and costs food to restore. Membership card NFTs provide additional tool slots, increased durability and access to rarer materials. Nearly all actions involve straightforward cost-benefit decisions, and the interface displays these values clearly.

What does not work is that it barely functions as a game. Clicking, waiting and repairing constitute most of the action list, progression means a larger balance sheet rather than a bigger farm, and roadmap features like tribe-versus-tribe PvP and mobile apps remain unshipped after years. Getting started also requires purchasing NFTs before you can do anything substantial.

It suits players who enjoy managing a spreadsheet-like economy at leisurely pacing, not anyone wanting an actual farming game.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start playing Farmers World?

Log in using a WAX wallet like WAX Cloud Wallet or Anchor and maintain some WAX for fees. Buy at least one tool NFT (typically an Axe and Fishing Rod starter set) from the Farmers World collection on AtomicHub or craft them in-game. Load your tools into the client at play.farmersworld.io and start gathering resources.

Do I need a separate game account or just a wallet?

Your WAX wallet serves as both login and inventory for tools, land, and materials. Create a WAX Cloud Wallet using email or social sign-in—no existing crypto knowledge needed.

What are the in-game tokens and how do they work?

The game runs on three tokens matching its three resources: FWW (Wood), FWF (Food), and FWG (Gold). Trading resources to tokens costs roughly 5–8% and changes hourly, but swapping tokens back to resources is free.

How do players actually earn in Farmers World?

Equip tool NFTs and mine Wood, Food, or Gold on an hourly cooldown, then swap your haul for FWW, FWF, or FWG tokens and sell on DEXes like Alcor. Crafting is an alternative—burn resources to create new tools or items for keeping or trading.

Are there ongoing costs once I have tools?

Mining drains Energy, replenished by eating Food (1 Food = 5 Energy). Farmers begin with 200 Energy up to a 500 cap without membership. Tools degrade with use and need Gold (FWG) repairs, so earnings partially fund maintenance.
