Roughly four and a half minutes of GTA 6’s prologue surfaced online Wednesday, and for plenty of players that was the point where the leaks stopped feeling like harmless fun.
Near-daily gameplay footage from the upcoming game has been coming from a leaker who goes by Cyberleek. Wednesday’s upload broke new ground by delivering story spoilers for the first time, covering the prologue and featuring Lucia Caminos, one of the game’s two playable characters.
The livelier debate at the moment, though, has less to do with what Cyberleek has put out and more to do with what’s been left out.
Nothing here carries confirmation from Rockstar Games or Take-Two. Everything below is leaked footage plus fan speculation built around it, and nothing beyond that.
The build itself might be the answer
Cyberleek doesn’t look to be recycling stolen video from elsewhere. The clips appear to be captured by the leaker personally, which is why fans are convinced a playable build is in their hands.
What has been posted points to a narrower possibility: the build may be a restricted one. Start cataloguing the classic GTA staples absent from the clips, and that theory becomes difficult to dismiss.
1. Lucia, playable
As Dazed magazine reported this week, GTA 6 stars a Bonnie and Clyde-style pairing in Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. In every clip Cyberleek has released so far, Jason is the one under player control.
Lucia does appear in the leaked prologue. Gameplay with her actually being controlled? Nothing yet, even though the leaker has teased additional Lucia-focused material.
2. First-person view
Reddit threads have filled up with players comparing notes on the complete lack of first-person POV footage. Third-person is GTA 6’s primary camera, and every clip so far sticks to it.
By itself, that proves little. GTA 6 is an enormously complex game, and much of it may land best in first person. Vehicle customization is extremely detailed, and getting a proper look at the small touches often means switching cameras.
The mode is almost certainly in GTA 6. Cyberleek simply hasn’t leaked any footage of it.
3. The map, actually explored
The leaker’s opening salvo was the GTA 6 world map, covering a fictional state called Leonida that draws on Florida and Miami. Fans behind a community mapping project judged it very likely genuine, because it matched what they had already pieced together.
Seeing what the map holds only draws more attention to the omission. The leaked gameplay barely ventures into that enormous interactive world.

4 and 5. Clothing and cars
Two of the series’ biggest customization systems are nowhere in the leaked material: clothing and car customization.
What will presumably be a huge catalogue of detailed options for your character’s look and your vehicles hasn’t been posted at all. In a franchise where players sink genuine hours into the barbershop, that’s an unusual omission.
6. An actual heist
Robbery clips, on the other hand, are plentiful. Cyberleek has leaked no shortage of GTA 6 stick-ups and carjackings, from free-roam holdups to gas stations emptied of cash.
Yet GTA has always been about more than simple robbery. Elaborate multi-stage heists and criminal missions are the series’ calling card, and none have appeared. That’s peculiar, given such footage would arguably be the flashiest thing a leaker could share.
7. Everything that isn’t a gun
Guns aren’t the whole of GTA, but Cyberleek hasn’t put the game’s other items on display. The in-game mobile phone, a cornerstone of earlier GTA titles, has never been used on camera. One early clip showed Jason shooting a basketball, and that’s the extent of it.
Across all the gameplay footage, the leaker has never once opened the menu’s Items tab.
Whether later footage fills any of these gaps is anybody’s guess. Netflix’s upcoming exclusive look at the game could wind up revealing what a restricted build never would.
