This marks the third consecutive year the game has held a Hallows Fall event. Splinterlands has not said when this year’s edition will end.

Where to find the skins

Most of the new skins are in the Rewards shop, which the patch notes said holds “a host of new skins.” One more skin can be found in the Sparks shop.

Frontier Jackpots include two limited print skins. When October’s second season begins, more limited skins will be added to each type of reward chest.

The patch notes did not list prices or an overall skin count. For as long as the event runs, Halloween stickers can also be picked up in the Sticker shop for a limited time.

Modern Bracket cap doubled

Cosmetics were not the only thing the patch touched. At the start of October’s second season, Splinterlands will lift the Modern Bracket winnings cap from 2% to 4%, and the team noted that SPS distribution at the end of October will be affected.

The change comes after an Oct. 6 update lowered the Modern win streak cutoff from 3,700 rating to 3,000 rating.

The Oct. 13 release also fixed a Volley bug. Before the fix, Ranged attacks failed to trigger ahead of the Volley attack, even when the Ranged unit had the higher speed. On top of that, 25 new player-created stickers were added to the Artisan Quarter.

The patch also brings a setting to turn off stat-adjustment animations during team creation, an option for removing an entire page from a binder and a new On Bracket Cooldown filter in the card display. Trade Offers can now include cards that are on bracket cooldown.

A look back at last year

The 2025 event ran from Oct. 14 to Nov. 4 and introduced two holiday skin sets, Spooky and Haunted.

Spooky skins were sold for Glint in the Reward shop. Commons cost 500 Glint, rares 2,500, epics 8,000 and legendaries 20,000.

Beginning Oct. 15 last year, Ultimate chests could contain a small set of limited Spooky summoner skins and older cards, plus a very limited Haunted set. Every chest had a 3% chance to drop one, and the potion drop chance was cut by the same amount.

Last year’s event also added the Blood Moon ruleset, which gave every unit the Blood Lust ability at the start of the match. Blood Moon was turned off in the Nov. 4 update.

The first Hallows Fall was a much smaller affair. On Oct. 15, 2024, Splinterlands temporarily replaced some of the game’s art with holiday versions. The Nov. 12, 2024, release notes ended it with a single line: “Hallows Fall has passed, and holiday artwork has been removed… for now.”
