Nexira, which now operates Mavia’s marketplace, repeated the call to alliance leaders, urging them to step up, rally their elite 8 and set their base.

What Season 1 actually is

In Alliance War, players group into alliances, battle across a season, accumulate points and finish with a shared ranking once the run wraps up.

Screenshots from the preview displayed an Alliance War hub with member counts, point totals and placements from previous seasons. Beside it sat a gridded battle map, its zones either claimed or handed to individual players — a strong hint that territory control sits at the heart of the mode.

No rulebook has been published. Details on matchmaking, how scoring is weighted and what the reward tiers look like remain unannounced, so the fee waiver stands as the only firm piece of information about Season 1 right now.

That same preview also included a “War Season 1–4” frame, suggesting the opener is the first stage of an extended competitive cycle instead of a standalone event. These war seasons are distinct from the Level Rewards seasons that ran across 2025.

A long wait

On paper, none of this is new. A roadmap update published by Mavia on April 14, 2025 slotted the start of Alliance Wars into Q4, alongside HQ 11, land trading and NFT crafting.

That timeline slipped. Launching on Aug. 3 puts the mode more than six months beyond the original window.

Mavia has positioned Alliance War as the connective tissue between its other systems, using persistent alliances and shared outcomes to reward coordination over sheer base strength. Previous competitive formats such as Ruby Battles relied on mirrored conditions and transparent scoring; Alliance War carries that approach up to alliance-wide objectives.

The economy underneath

Nexira is the rebranded version of the Mavia Marketplace & Exchange. MPEX went live in Q1 2025 and finished its transition to Nexira DAEP on April 25.

Ruby is still the in-game currency, converting into $MAVIA, the governance token used for trading Legendary Items on the web marketplace and for voting on ecosystem decisions. The revised Ruby token carries a cap of 2.16 billion pre-minted tokens, spread across six games within the Nexira DAEP framework instead of going to Mavia alone.

How that spread works has direct bearing on the size of an Alliance War season’s payouts. Mavia has yet to describe Season 1 rewards.

Esports side

Waiving fees marks a departure from Mavia’s pricing on competition elsewhere. To register for the 2026 Global Tournament, players must connect a Heroes of Mavia game wallet carrying a sufficient ruby balance.

That competition opens with best-of-three elimination qualifiers before cutting down to a 32-player main event played in double elimination. A best-of-seven decides the grand final. The winner collects $3,000 and second place $1,800, with smaller amounts paid out further down the table.

Entry to Alliance War Season 1 is free. Whether that holds for a second season is a separate matter, and Mavia has said nothing about it.

“Gather your crew and get ready!” the game said.
