Crypto and online gaming have been crossing paths for years, especially through payments. Bitcoin offered an alternative way to deposit, stablecoins made it easier to move dollar-denominated value, and broad multi-chain support gave players more choice over how they funded their accounts. But what’s beyond the cashier?
Gaming platforms have many of the ingredients that token projects spend years creating: frequent transactions, loyalty programs, rewards, large communities and recurring revenue.
The industry is certainly large enough to support the experiment. In the first half of 2026 alone, there were more than 14.1 billion bets and over $140 million in player payouts on crypto gaming platforms. That transaction frequency creates an opportunity to connect tokens with rewards, spending and other activity inside a gaming ecosystem.
Crypto use within that market has also broadened. Altcoins accounted for almost half of crypto wagers. Total crypto bet value grew 18.7% during the year. So what happens when operators build their own token into that activity.
Gaming Already Has an Economy
Online gaming platforms already operate something resembling an internal economy. Players deposit funds, earn cashback, progress through VIP levels, receive rewards and take part in promotions. Operators spend heavily on retention and affiliate acquisition while maintaining thousands of games and betting markets. A token can connect some of those moving pieces.
Rollbit offers one existing example. Its buy & burn program directs portions of revenue from its casino, sportsbook and crypto futures businesses toward purchasing RLB on the market and removing tokens from supply.
Shuffle has taken this deeper into player participation. Its token can be wagered and staked, while gaming activity contributes to token burns. More than 76.7 million SHFL had been burned by June 26, equivalent to roughly 7.7% of its original maximum supply.
These models give gaming tokens something crypto assets struggle to find: a measurable link between what happens inside a product and what happens to the token.
1win Is Adding the Token After the Users
That is also the thinking behind $1WIN.
1win has operated since 2016 and says it now serves 100 million registered players across international markets. Its existing business includes casino gaming, sportsbook and esports, crypto payments and other entertainment products. The company says the operation is profitable independently of $1WIN.
The order matters because the token is arriving after the customer base and revenue engine have already been built.
The current $1WIN public sale offers 130 million tokens at $0.03 USDC ahead of the TGE. $1WIN has a fixed supply of one billion tokens, putting its fully diluted valuation at $30 million at the sale price, with no additional minting planned after TGE.
Its utility is spread across gaming, lotteries and rewards, while 51% of the total supply is allocated to user-facing programs, including game reward pools, Wager Rewards and distribution through the 1win Telegram Mini App.
The economics also feed back into the platform. Under the $1WIN token model, 10% of revenue generated from gameplay using $1WIN is allocated to weekly open-market buybacks. Separately, 10% of $1WIN spent across supported products is permanently burned.
That creates a simple loop: people use the platform, some of that activity generates revenue for token purchases, and spending the token itself removes a portion of supply.
From Loyalty Programs to Token Economies
Not every gaming token is useful. A token still needs utility for players to choose it over fiat, stablecoins or existing loyalty points. Buybacks and burns also cannot manufacture lasting demand on their own. But iGaming does provide fertile ground to find out.
The sector already has millions of digital-first customers accustomed to rewards, account balances and frequent transactions. Crypto usage is established, and proprietary gaming tokens are now beginning to connect those behaviors with assets that can exist outside the platform itself.
