- Illuvium (official site) has rolled out Arena Update 1.17.10, the latest in a string of balance patches inside the 1.17.x line.
- Every Omega cast now lets Stage 3 Lynxes permanently stack affinity-specific stats, while the Phantom, Bloom, Revenant and Templar synergies have all been overhauled.
- Bot difficulty below a 1280 rating has been toned down to alter how matches are paced.
Illuvium has taken Arena Update 1.17.10 live — a balance patch that grants Stage 3 Lynxes a permanent stacking buff and reworks four separate synergies.
Per the studio, Stage 3 Lynxes will now permanently pile on affinity-specific stats with each Omega cast. That’s the standout tweak in an update built to reshuffle which team comps remain viable in the present meta.
lluvium: Arena Update 1.17.10 is LIVE!
We’re keeping the balance updates rolling to refine the meta and fine-tune the battlefield experience:
→ Stage 3 Lynx Buffs: Stage 3 Lynxes now permanently stack affinity-specific stats on every Omega cast!
→ Matchmaking Tuning: Adjusting bot difficulty below the 1280 rating threshold for better match pacing.
→ Synergy Reworks: Phantom gets an energy-steal first hit; Bloom, Revenant & Templar receive durability/power buffs.
→ Weapons & Augments: Key buffs to weapons like Tempest Lance & Earthgrasp Sceptre + balance pass on overperforming amplifiers.@illuviumioView on X ↗
Four lines are affected by the synergy pass. Phantom gains an energy-steal first hit, and the studio said Bloom, Revenant and Templar are each receiving either durability or power buffs.
Weapons and augments
Several weapons were strengthened by Illuvium, among them the Tempest Lance and the Earthgrasp Sceptre. Alongside that, the patch delivers a balance pass targeting amplifiers the team singled out as overperforming.
Those weapon adjustments go hand in hand with the augment tuning, both part of one push to narrow the distance between the strongest and the least-used gear.
Matchmaking
The update tweaks bot difficulty for anyone sitting beneath the 1280 rating threshold. According to Illuvium, the aim is to improve match pacing for players below that line, where bots round out the lobbies.
“We’re keeping the balance updates rolling to refine the meta and fine-tune the battlefield experience,” the studio said.
Version 1.17.10 extends a steady cadence of balance patches across the 1.17.x series, which has previously overhauled synergies including Frost, Harbinger and Mud while dialing back lines such as Elk, Penguin and Mammoth.
Arena serves as the auto-battler within Illuvium’s slate of games, where players assemble Illuvials and set off Omega abilities once a unit has stored enough energy. How quickly and how forcefully those Omegas hit comes down to affinities — the very mechanic the new Stage 3 Lynx change now taps into on every cast.
The title’s ranked Gauntlet mode distributes ILV via Rewards v2, drawing from a base weekly pool that grows as the number of paying players climbs.
The economic layer is left untouched in 1.17.10. This update keeps to the battlefield, where a Stage 3 Lynx can now emerge from a drawn-out fight noticeably stronger than when it entered.
