Guild War moves off the roadmap
Guild War is the marquee addition. It has featured on the game’s second-half 2025 roadmap next to SSS-grade Symbols, a third SSS-grade equipment set and a skin system. After more than a year of teasing, pre-registration is the opening move toward a live rollout.
From the outset, the studio designed the game around guild-based play. Immortals join forces to take down shared bosses and fight over territory, and Guild War puts a formal structure on that rivalry.
The stage expansion tacks 1,000 additional stages onto the idle RPG’s core progression, stretching the endgame grind for anyone who has already conquered the old cap.
Equipment Auto-Forge is aimed at the game’s forging loop. Immortal Rising 2 already handles equipment enhancement using Forge Stone sourced from the Cursed Armory, and the new feature automates a portion of that workflow. While the studio listed the Divine Beast Cradle among the update’s additions, it offered no details about it in the post.
Where the game stands
Immortal Rising 2 is a free-to-play idle RPG running on Immutable zkEVM. Development was handled by Bad Beans, while publishing falls to Planetarium Labs, the studio responsible for Nine Chronicles.
Among the Bad Beans staff is the lead designer of the indie hit Dave the Diver. Planetarium Labs, for its part, secured $32 million in a Series A round headed by Animoca Brands.
The IMT token debuted in a March 2025 generation event spanning Ethereum and Immutable, with its total supply capped at 1 billion. Functioning as a governance token, IMT can be staked, and the in-game Starlight currency converts into it.
The franchise brings a Web2 track record with it. As an idle RPG, the first Immortal Rising racked up over 2 million downloads and $12 million in revenue. Its sequel climbed to the No. 1 spot on Immutable, carrying over a base of more than 1 million existing players.
Bad Beans has kept up a consistent release schedule throughout the year, rolling out a Pet System in June and pushing the Greater Rift Abyss to Stage 60 in May. A developer letter in January outlined a wider core overhaul, including a reworked skill system, a new Earth attribute and higher-tier U5 and U6 Arcane Stones.
Interest in the sequel spiked quickly at release. Immortal Rising 2 cleared 10,000 downloads on Google Play in its first 24 hours.
