Jon also has company. Ned Stark, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, Robb Stark and Catelyn Stark are all returning in the same event. That’s nearly the entire family, and this time nobody has to attend a wedding.

Adding the Starks to your roster

Every returning Stark is a Legendary Champion, and you summon them with exalted tokens. Anyone putting a team together will want these names on it.

The event started Sept. 23 and wraps up Oct. 21 at 2 a.m. ET. There’s still time to take part, but it’s running short. Hand of the King belongs to the game’s September-October 2026 lineup, which is also bringing in new quests, locations and characters.

With that schedule almost finished, the next roadmap should be revealed before long. If you want a new mobile game to lose hours in, no other Westeros-based title has more content than this one.

Keeping pace with the TV universe

Legends launched from Zynga in 2024. Since then it has received regular content updates that line up with the expanding TV universe. As a result, characters and events from House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms sit right next to the original Game of Thrones cast.

There’s plenty of source material to draw on. HBO has put out two spin-offs since the original series wrapped in 2019: House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Aegon’s Conquest is in production right now. The A Song of Ice and Fire universe keeps getting bigger, and the game is almost certain to expand along with it.

Legends isn’t the franchise’s only game, either. Fans are still waiting for Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, a real-time strategy game expected some time in 2027.

Not a bad run for a bastard

Jon was first introduced as the Bastard of Winterfell, but he ended up with a pretty impressive story. He rose through the ranks of the Night’s Watch, came back from the dead and fell in love. Then he learned that he and Daenerys were the last remaining Targaryens.

He was also one of the few characters to get out of Game of Thrones alive. At the end of the much-talked-about finale, he headed back to the Wall, and nobody has seen him since.

Nobody knows whether his luck will last in The Winds of Winter, assuming the next book in the series is ever released. Until it is, a mobile summon is the closest you’ll get to new Jon Snow material.

The story’s origins

Game of Thrones is a fantasy drama adapted from George R. R. Martin’s ongoing A Song of Ice and Fire novels. The story takes place across Westeros and Essos, two fictional continents.

It follows noble houses such as the Starks, Lannisters and Targaryens as they compete for the Iron Throne, while an undead threat grows in the North.

The North is where it all began. Now Ned, Catelyn and their children are back together, and you decide who ends up closest to the throne.
