In Brief:
- Kaidro (official site) is closing out its existing P2A experience and putting the Synergy and Spin Wheel phases on hold as of September 4, 2026.
- Fresh $KDR staking and auto-restaking are going away, though anyone with an existing stake can still claim through December 31, 2026.
- The studio insists $KDR still has a role in what comes next, but no replacement system has been spelled out.
Kaidro to end current reward systems
In a notable pivot for its platform, Kaidro is retiring a number of its reward systems. The studio will close the book on its current P2A experience — together with the Synergy and Spin Wheel phases — on September 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM PT, ending a 25-month run.
That same morning, at 9:00 AM PT, the final $KDR airdrop from the original distribution phase goes out. New staking sign-ups and auto-restaking are being switched off as well. Anyone already staked has until December 31, 2026 to unstake and collect their $KDR.
Transition, not termination
Kaidro maintains that $KDR remains central to what it has planned, yet the studio has shared neither replacement systems nor a timeline for future utility. Stakes currently in place stay live, so users keep both their unstaking options and their staking history.
NFT rewards still outstanding will be converted into $KDR, and physical rewards are set to be fulfilled in batches over time. This upcoming airdrop is the third — and final — from the initial distribution phase, with eligibility and claiming details due to be shared at a later point.
Key dates ahead
August 30, 2026 was the date of the snapshot for that last airdrop. Once the reward systems are wound down, any stake that has hit its claimable time will pay out the original $KDR along with whatever rewards apply. Unstake early and only the originally staked $KDR comes back, with the staking reward left on the table.
With that shift approaching, Kaidro is looking to reposition itself while holding onto $KDR as part of its long-term strategy. “We see this as a transition rather than an end,” the studio stated.
