NFT marketplace Sparkles announced they became the first NFT platform to be launched on Flare’s new Layer 1 (L1) oracle network.
Sparkles plans to hone in on the interoperability of native Flare protocols to increase use cases for NFT utility. In addition, Sparkles is addressing the issue of NFT IP rights for NFT owners in their upcoming DOTM collection by attaching on-chain IP licensing.
Sparkles is an NFT platform that handles over 90% of NFT sales on Songbird and is the only NFT marketplace in the industry to achieve an environmentally positive status.
Flare seems pretty excited about the partnership, with its CEO and Co-founder Hugo Philion stating, “We are very pleased Sparkles have agreed to continue their NFT platform development on Flare, integrating our core protocols to champion NFTs and provide opportunities for SGB and FLR holders to participate in the digital art space.”
Flare’s State Connector: A protocol that enables off-chain information to be used securely, scalably, and trustlessly with a smart contract on Flare.
Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO): It utilizes the network structure to deliver highly decentralized prices and data series to dapps on Flare without relying on centralized data providers.
