Luxury clothing brand Louis Vuitton announced a few days ago another exciting partnership with the famous Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama to launch 10,000 NFTs.

Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese contemporary artist who works primarily in sculpture and installation. Born in 1929, Yayoi is ready to turn 94 in March. She became famous for her extensive use of polka dots and infinity installations.

This is not Louis Vuitton’s first work with Yayoi Kusama (2012). However, Louis Vuitton has invited her to create and launch 10,000 unique NFTs to celebrate its 200th anniversary. Additionally, buyers will have the chance to turn these NFTs into physical products. Learn more here.

NFT, or Non-Fungible Token, is a digital asset on the blockchain with a unique identifier number and other meta-data. NFTs are the most secure and transparent method to distribute, trade, store, and track digital and physical assets.

Louis Vuitton is a controversial clothing brand as its products cost much more than ordinary clothes. This is because Louis Vuitton handbags and products are handmade by highly skilled craftsmen, using materials like high-end canvas or leather.
