NFL Rivals Mobile Game Expands with In-App NFT Purchases

Mythical Games has expanded its NFT marketplace, allowing players of its mobile football game, NFL Rivals, to buy NFT player cards directly on iOS and Android. Previously, these transactions were exclusive to their web platform.

NFL Rivals now offers in-game NFT transactions for its users on both mobile platforms. This decision follows Google’s recent policy change, permitting NFT purchases on the Android Play Store. Those who’ve reached the user level 4 in NFL Rivals can access the “Improve My Roster” feature. However, instead of a full marketplace experience, players receive tailored suggestions on which player cards to buy.

How the Purchase Works

To make a purchase, players will use the game’s new virtual currency called ‘Credits.’ Notably, these credits aren’t cryptocurrency-based. Players can buy Credit bundles ranging from 140 for $1.99 to 7,000 for $99.99 using regular money on the App Store or Play Store.

Future Plans and Current Limitations

Mythical Games isn’t stopping here. They intend to explore more in-game marketplace features in the upcoming months. Their ultimate goal? Enabling both buying and selling of NFTs directly within the game on iOS and Android devices.

For now, the complete browsing of NFL Rivals NFTs and their selling remains on the Mythical web-based marketplace. Once purchased, NFTs are stored in the user’s Mythical account. To utilize these NFTs, players must connect their accounts to the NFL Rivals game, activating their NFT functionalities. Players can then incorporate their NFT player cards into their game lineups.
