OtherWorld Debuts Pioneering NFT Platform Dubbed 'Solo Leveling: Unlimited'

OtherWorld, a Web3 company based in Singapore, has launched a new NFT platform called “Solo Leveling: Unlimited.” The platform is based on the famous South Korean web novel and webtoon series, Solo Leveling.

Built on the Avalanche blockchain, it aims to combine entertainment and blockchain technology while offering a special user experience through its custom Layer-1 network, which allows for gasless transactions.

Mike Lee, CEO of OtherWorld, discussed the broader vision for Web3 services, highlighting the need for improvements in blockchain wallet-based login methods, transaction fees, and cryptocurrency for payments. Lee stated, “The service launched by OtherWorld will provide solutions that help to solve these problems.”

The “Solo Leveling: Unlimited” platform is designed to immerse users deeply into the Solo Leveling universe. It allows players to engage directly with the story by battling monsters and collecting digital cards that trace the storyline’s progression. High-level achievements within the game unlock various rewards, including NFTs featuring Sung Jin-Woo, the series’ protagonist. OtherWorld plans to keep the platform dynamic with seasonal updates and community challenges that promise exclusive rewards for top players.

Bridging Mainstream Culture with Blockchain

The platform does more than entertain; it serves as a foundational element for broader Web3 initiatives that OtherWorld is set to develop. Holding exclusive Web3 rights to 26 major webtoon intellectual properties, OtherWorld aims to integrate elements of K-pop through its collaboration with Cube Entertainment, signaling a significant cultural fusion into the Web3 space.

“It’s genuinely exciting to see a popular series like Solo Leveling expand and provide an immersive gamified experience for its worldwide fans leveraging blockchain,” stated Justin Kim, Head of Korea at Ava Labs. “It’s definitely an encouraging sign of what’s possible and what’s to come when mainstream cultural icons, fandom and cutting-edge technology converge.”
