Introducing Draft Mode
Parallel TCG has launched a significant update with Patch 0.74, introducing a novel competitive play format named Draft Mode. This mode is groundbreaking as it allows, for the first time, the combination of cards from two different Parallels into a single 30-card deck. Competitors engage in matches under a structure where they must achieve up to seven wins or are eliminated after three losses.
Mechanics of Drafting
The drafting process starts with the selection of one Legendary card from three options, each from different Parallels. This choice determines the player’s initial faction card pool. The next choice involves another Legendary card, providing options from two other Parallels and one Universal card. Opting for another faction’s card enables the inclusion of a second Parallel, while choosing the Universal card restricts the deck to just one faction plus Universal cards.
Players then continue picking cards individually from sets of three until reaching thirty. After assembling their deck, participants select a Paragon from the drafted Parallels and have the opportunity to make three card exchanges in optional trade slots, fine-tuning their deck before entering the matchmaking phase.
Entry Requirements and Rewards
Draft Mode is accessible dynamically; players are entitled to one free run weekly, with subsequent entries costing 10 Draft Tickets or 300 Glints. These Draft Tickets are a new form of currency that can be acquired through gameplay in Draft Mode and the Premium Battle Pass. The rewards from participating in Draft Mode scale with the number of wins, including AP packs, Scrap, and additional Draft Tickets. The game developers have hinted at future expansions to the reward offerings as the game progresses.
Updates and Bug Fixes
In addition to the new mode, Patch 0.74 addresses more than a dozen bugs affecting game cards. For instance, the Synchronicity was modified to copy units correctly instead of stealing them, while fixes were applied to ensure the Keeper Erez no longer suffers damage from zero-damage attacks. Other notable corrections include bug resolutions with Catherine Lapointe, who wrongly continued attacking despite being stunned and Security Sweep, which now properly targets stealthed wanted units.
Prompt failures leading to gameplay interruptions also received fixes, affecting cards like Hasty Mobilization and Eighth Palm of Galli among others.
Enhancements in Multilingual Support
Parallel’s latest patch expands its game client to support additional languages, incorporating Traditional Chinese, Korean, and French, reflecting a commitment to improving accessibility and player experience across diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Overall, Patch 0.74 of Parallel TCG not only broadens the strategic play options with its Draft Mode but also enhances gameplay integrity with crucial bug fixes and expanded language support, promising a more inclusive and varied gaming environment for its global player base.
