Launch on Mobile Marks Significant Milestone
After half a decade of meticulous development, Parallel TCG has debuted on mobile app stores. Originally emerging during the NFT boom, the game has transitioned into a competitive trading card game (TCG), accruing an impressive $125 million in secondary trading volume for its collectibles. This development signifies a major expansion in the game’s accessibility and potential audience.
Development and Expansion Timeline
Parallel Studios embarked on this venture with a closed beta in July 2023, followed by the release of its first expansion set, “Planetfall,” in October. February 2024 saw the game enter an open beta phase, shortly after establishing a free-to-play model on PC. In March 2024, the project secured an additional $35 million in funding. Despite the PRIME token reaching a peak of $28, it has subsequently seen a decline of over 98%.
Throughout 2024 and into 2025, Parallel Studios maintained its momentum even through market downturns, launching on the Epic Games Store, and introducing the “Aftermath” expansion which added 90 new cards. The third expansion “Deception” was released in 2025, which significantly reduced the supply of earlier sets by 90% and included a targeted Android beta in the Philippines to optimize the mobile user experience.
Commitment to Esports Growth
Parallel Studios is not just focused on game development but is also aiming to embed Parallel TCG within the esports sector. The inaugural Parallel League Championship, held at the HyperX Arena in Las Vegas, started with a $250,000 prize pool, with subsequent seasons boasting $1 million and $2 million prize pools, respectively. The global mobile launch aims to further this vision, providing broader access as a cross-platform free-to-play TCG. Unlike many web3 games, Parallel incorporates NFTs as an optional layer, which enhances PRIME earnings, creating a unique position for the game in the market.
As the game expands its reach through mobile platforms, the industry and players alike are keen to see the engagement levels Parallel TCG will achieve.
Parallel can now be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, inviting more players to explore its expansive universe.
