What changed since day 11
Set against the numbers the project shared on day 11, the new post shows how far things moved in a few days. At the 11-day mark, the account listed 43,097 accounts created, $111,126 in stocks bought for Reward Pools, 59.8 million $PAWS burned and roughly two million work shifts claimed.
Sign-ups barely moved over the days that followed. Shifts climbed by about 300,000, and burns rose by around 4.9 million $PAWS.
How prizes are paid
In the game, players manage a crew of Cats in Sherwood Forest. Each Cat is sent to a business for a shift of between one minute and eight hours, and the player claims it afterward for XP and materials. A shift under 10 minutes earns no Reward Round points.
Businesses are grouped into industries, and each industry’s prize pool pays out in a single tokenized stock: Apple, Costco, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet or NVIDIA. Materials and $PAWS go toward leveling Cats, recruiting more of them, opening businesses and growing a player’s land.
Prize funding comes from a 3% fee, charged in USDG, on each buy and sell of $PAWS in its Uniswap pool. Out of every $3 collected, roughly $1.75 goes to stock prizes and $0.25 to Creator Rewards. The game keeps the remaining $1.
Players must meet certain requirements before they can win. One is having spent at least 150 $PAWS in the game overall, or having $PAWS staked in a lock that lasts beyond the end of the next round.
Move to weekly pools
According to the player guide dated Oct. 8, Reward Rounds last 12 hours, and eight prize pools are divided by points when each round closes.
That setup has since changed. The team said in an X post that from 00:00 UTC on Saturday, Oct. 17, the stock in each pool would accumulate over the week before paying out to its Top 25 players.
A follow-up post scrapped the Top 25 limit. Every eligible player now gets a cut of each pool they score points in, sized by their points for the week. Members split 85%, while all eligible players split 15%. The first payout is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, and trophies still go to the top three players.
Cats and the $PAWS token
New players get their first Cat and permit for free. Each account begins with Robin, a Starter Cat and Common Lumberjack that can’t be sold, traded or released. Cats are not NFTs. They live inside the game, change hands on its own marketplace, and produce output based on Profession, Productivity, Efficiency and Traits.
The game’s $PAWS token uses contract 0x3183d125610725E1b507Fc78aE5A16376609495F. A separate community memecoin on Robinhood Chain shares the $PAWS ticker but is not the game token, so buyers should verify the contract address.
GitHub also hosts an unofficial auto-farm bot, rygroup-dev/paws-bot, which plays through Telegram buttons and logs in with the player’s wallet. The team has no affiliation with it, and running it may break the game’s rules.
The team ended its two-week post with four words: “Thank you, Sherwood.”
