Pixels Game Leaves Polygon for Sky Mavis' Ronin Blockchain

Pixels, a unique Web3 game, recently transitioned from the Polygon blockchain to Sky Mavis’ Ronin Network. This development comes after Pixels gained immense traction on Polygon, registering over 1.5 million monthly on-chain transactions.

Being a leader in the Web3 gaming industry, Pixels has been impressively successful on Polygon, garnering over 100,000 monthly active wallets and maintaining 5,000 daily users. This vast virtual world of farming and exploration became the most popular game on Polygon.

Why Ronin?

Luke Barwikowski, the Chief Executive Officer of Pixels, expressed his confidence in Sky Mavis, highlighting its proven expertise in Web3 gaming. “The decision to migrate to Ronin and join hands with a team well-versed in practical experience seemed like our next best move,” Barwikowski explained.

Polygon’s Upcoming Launch

This significant shift by Pixels arrives shortly after the testnet activation of the Immutable zkEVM chain—a collaboration between Polygon and Immutable X. Polygon’s joint venture with Immutable, the gaming-centric Immutable zkEVM, is poised to launch its mainnet in the last quarter of 2023 officially.
