Puffverse, a 3D universe based on BNB, has announced its migration of NFT characters and upcoming game portfolio to Sky Mavis’ Ronin network. This strategic move aims to attract more Web3 players, starting with the launch of the multiplayer royale party game PuffGo on Ronin. Additionally, Puffverse has raised $3 million in funding with Animoca Brands to support its expansion.
With a focus on enhancing user experience, PuffGo features a variety of themes, gameplay modes, and UGC functions that allow users to create their own game maps. The long-term vision includes enabling users to build their own metaverses and integrating Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content to enhance gameplay.
“Moving Puffverse to the Ronin blockchain was a strategic decision rooted in our commitment to making our 3D universe more accessible to both Web2 and Web3 users. Our Puff characters’ compatibility with the beloved Axie community makes this migration a natural fit. We’ve been impressed by Ronin’s support across marketing, operations, and user acquisition and can’t wait to see the next stage of growth for Puffverse,” said, Puffverse Co-Founder and COO, Lya L.
Sky Mavis CEO Trung Nguyen emphasized the potential of Web3 mechanics in elevating party games like PuffGo and expanding into the East Asian and China markets. The partnership between Puffverse and Ronin is part of a larger trend, with Ronin also welcoming other gaming universes like Ragnarok Online and GMonsters.
To facilitate the migration, a snapshot of all Puff NFTs on the BNB Chain will be taken on April 29th, followed by the airdrop of NFTs to corresponding addresses on Ronin. Puffverse plans to launch its token and an exclusive NFT collection on Ronin later in 2024.
