Ronin’s new calculator shows studios on other chains what Proof of Distribution could pay them

ronin pod reward estimator In Brief:

In Brief:

  • On Oct. 26, Ronin put a PoD Reward Estimator live at pod.roninchain.com/estimate. Studios building on other chains can enter their past 30 days of activity and see roughly how much RON Proof of Distribution would pay them.
  • Each game is measured against the final Season 5 field of 84 builders and a 410,958 RON pool. According to Ronin, the estimates come with an approximate ±30% range.
  • All of Ronin’s 5M RON in yearly emissions now goes to Proof of Distribution, so the tool gives would-be builders a dollar figure to consider before they migrate.

Game studios on rival chains can now check how much RON they could pull from Proof of Distribution by moving to Ronin, using a calculator the network released on Monday.

Ronin shared the PoD Reward Estimator on X on Oct. 26 and aimed it at teams able to say “My game has X DAU, and we’re bringing in traditional players every day.”

If that's you, Proof of Distribution rewards builders every month for the onchain activity those players create.

How the estimator works

Teams fill in numbers from whatever chain they use today. A follow-up post from Ronin listed the inputs: users (active and new), transactions and volume across contract activity, NFT trades and DEX trading.

“You get an estimated RON reward, your projected rank and share of the pool, and a score across the six PoD categories,” Ronin said.

Transactions get converted into Ronin gas. When a team leaves the transaction count blank, the tool uses gas spent in USD instead. A checkbox lets studios count every active user as new to Ronin during the first month after a move.

A “RON pressure” input also shifts the result. The estimator treats 1.0 as neutral. If users net-buy RON, the figure can climb to about 2.37, while net sellers can pull it down to about 0.37. With the price field left blank, the tool falls back on the season average.

Ronin called the output a ballpark. “Estimates are based on Season 5 data, with an approximate ±30% range,” the team said. “Actual future rewards may vary.”

What the sample game earns

Ronin’s launch screenshot models a hypothetical game with 5,000 active users, 1,200 new users and 90,000 transactions over 30 days. Its inputs also include $300,000 in contract volume, $150,000 in NFT trade volume and $2 million in token DEX volume.

The estimate lands at roughly 99,707 RON, worth about $6,055 at $0.0607 per RON. That works out to 24.26% of the pool and the top spot out of 85 builders. The ±30% band runs from 69,795 to 129,619 RON.

Trading accounts for most of that score. NFT volume adds 261.6 points and DEX volume adds 104.7. The rest comes from contract volume (29.9), active users (8.4), gas (3.4) and new users (2.6).

The tool also lines the sample up against Season 5’s real top earners. For Axie Infinity (official site), the estimate is 85,041 RON against an actual payout of 85,726 RON. Craft World (official site) shows an 83,882 RON estimate and an actual payout of 78,962 RON.

Score weights

Ronin published the current Builder Score weights as well. NFT volume and DEX volume carry 30% each, and both are labeled as volume that paid fees to the Ronin Treasury. Total honor across active users gets 13% and total honor across new users gets 11%. Gas spend and contract volume are weighted at 8% apiece.

According to the chart, the weights are “based on on-chain contract activity” and are “reviewed and may be adjusted monthly.”

Background

Proof of Distribution’s Season 5 wrapped up at 14:00 GMT+7 on Oct. 11, 2026. In an Oct. 8 blog post, Ronin wrote that more than 2 million RON will have gone to builders by the end of the season.

At the leaderboard’s launch, Ronin said builders receive 416K RON every month based on their Builder Score. The first version of the score tracked gas spend, active and new users holding more than 10 RON, NFT and DEX volume, and smart contract volume.

The initial weighting, Ronin said, came from “an AI-powered analysis of the metrics that most align with $RON’s success.” The team added that the mechanism “will be an evolving process and will be adjusted based on the behaviors we observe.”

A RON Conviction multiplier joined Builder Score on Sept. 10. Projects whose communities show stronger conviction in RON see their scores amplified, and weaker conviction lowers the multiplier.

The program traces back to May 12, when Ronin moved from a sovereign L1 to an Ethereum Layer 2. Ronin said annual emissions have since fallen from 45M RON to 5M RON, an 89% cut. Staking rewards have been removed, and all emissions now go to builders.

“There’s currently no way to stake your RON and earn rewards,” Ronin wrote on its blog. “All rewards will flow directly to builders.”
