Saga Origins, the publishing division of Saga Protocol, made a big announcement at GDC 2025.

The announcements include AI-powered characters, dynamic storytelling, and evolving in-game economies designed to enhance engagement and immersion through new partnerships with Super Company, OV Entertainment, Didimo, and Northern Lights Entertainment.

AI agents and personalized gameplay

Saga Origins is set to integrate AI agents into various gaming experiences, allowing characters to respond to players in real-time, tailor quests based on player actions, and generate in-game news reports.

“We are excited to showcase how AI can unlock new levels of immersion and gameplay,” said Rebecca Liao, CEO and Co-Founder of Saga. “Our partners have built strong communities around their games, and with Saga’s AI tools, they can now offer even more personalized and interactive experiences.”

The partnerships and their roles

  • Super Company: The partnership will introduce Titanus, a well-known character from the mobile shooter Hero Hunters, as one of the first AI-powered game characters.
  • OV Entertainment: AI agents will be incorporated into multiple OV Entertainment games, making in-game characters more responsive and lifelike. The technology will also be included in future AAA titles developed by the studio.
  • Northern Lights Entertainment: The political strategy game Nebulae will feature AI-driven in-game news reports that analyze player sentiment and adjust storylines accordingly. This will allow players to take different narrative paths, from rebellion to espionage.
  • Didimo: Saga’s partnership with Didimo will enhance character creation through Popul8, an AI-powered platform that enables players to create and customize unique digital characters. This tool ensures that every in-game character maintains the artistic integrity of the game while offering limitless customization options.

Saga Origins continues to explore AI integration in gaming. Just last week, the company announced a collaboration with Games for a Living (GFAL) to introduce AI agents into Diamond Dreams, an upcoming 3D puzzle game.
