Skate has officially launched the Shadow Mainnet, a crucial development in the rollout of its full-scale Mainnet
Shadow Mainnet aims to streamline the way Stateless applications function by enabling interaction across different blockchains without compromising on security or functionality.
At the core of this new phase is the Skate Hub Chain, now live as an Ethereum Layer 2 solution. This platform employs dual data availability technologies, Avail and EigenDA, to increase scalability and ensure a resilient network.
The Hub Chain serves as the central processing unit that harmonizes the state and core logic across all connected peripheral chains and VMs. Whether it’s EVM, TonVM, or SolanaVM, the applications maintain consistent operations, facilitating seamless and interoperable cross-chain functionality.
A key innovation with the Shadow Mainnet is the introduction of Skate’s Preconfirmation AVS (Accountability Verification System) on the Eigenlayer Mainnet. Utilizing technology from Othentic, this system enhances the security and speed of cross-chain transactions, providing a decentralized trust engine for all Stateless applications.
The AVS plays a critical role in verifying task data and ensuring that Executors on the peripheral chains perform their duties accurately and honestly, thereby bolstering cryptoeconomic security and achieving fast finality for transactions.
Highlighting the capabilities of the Shadow Mainnet is the launch of the first Stateless app pilot—Polymarket on TON. This pilot enables Telegram users on the TON blockchain to seamlessly use Polymarket, a prominent prediction market platform traditionally hosted on Polygon.
This integration exemplifies Skate’s mission to deliver a unified user experience across diverse blockchain environments without the need for complex bridging solutions.
