Sky Mavis wraps up Vibeathon hackathon
The Axie Vibeathon from Sky Mavis has come to an end. A total of 402 builders took part, and the 90 games they made can now be played online. Under the judging criteria, 35% of the score goes to the Axie Core concept and 25% to gameplay. In the next stage, up to eight games will be picked to receive additional resources.
The entries cover many genres. Nearly half of them use strategic combat, which shows how much Axie Infinity (official site) shaped the submissions. Notable projects include Axie Infinity: Tactics, a tactical RPG inspired by classic games, and Lunacia Synergy, a 3D auto-battler that builds Axie DNA into its gameplay mechanics.
Builders were allowed to add blockchain features, but only 11 games needed a Ronin wallet or used real Axie NFTs. According to early community feedback, the five leading games have received 40% of all positive responses, and Lunacia Command has the most likes.
