Spellborne Enters Open Beta with Season 1: Higher Stakes

Mon Studios recently launched the open beta of their new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), Spellborne. The open beta is titled “Season 1: Higher Stakes.”

This release invites players to explore the vibrant world of Celestia and engage in activities such as monster capturing, farming, and crafting. This signals a fresh direction in MMORPG gaming.

Players diving into Spellborne will encounter a world teeming with over 30 different monster breeds to capture and a variety of quests to undertake. With 20 unique quests and extensive crafting systems, the game promises a rich and varied experience.

At the outset, players choose from three distinct characters: Atom, Bellatrix, or Cosmo. Each character offers unique abilities and affects the game’s narrative and outcomes, making each player’s journey uniquely their own.

Spellborne is not just about quests and monsters; it also incorporates a novel economic model with its play-to-airdrop campaign. Players earn airdrop points through in-game activities, referrals, and content creation. Impressively, 10% of the game’s total token supply is dedicated to rewarding the community, focusing on active participants and early adopters.

The game, initially known as Defimons, draws inspiration from beloved classics like Pokémon, but with a twist. Set in the bustling city of Isogashi, players navigate a narrative filled with challenges and guardians that awaken to threaten their paths. The open-ended storyline allows for a range of choices that directly influence the unfolding events, adding a layer of depth to gameplay.

Ownership plays a pivotal role in Spellborne, where players can own in-game NFT assets like apartments, monsters, and characters. These assets not only enhance the gaming experience but also offer exclusive rewards, adding an element of strategy to the game. Furthermore, the in-game economy revolves around the $BORNE token, which is managed by the Borne Gaming Foundation, ensuring a balanced and player-driven marketplace.
