the last worlds crossed souls token lupio is coming to loadout with tokenomics still unannounced In Brief:

In Brief:

  • $LUPIO, the token for Lupio Studios’ The Last Worlds: Crossed Souls, is “coming soon” to Loadout's Solana launchpad. Loadout hasn’t released the tokenomics yet.
  • The open-world action RPG is being made by three brothers in Italy. It has more than 25,000 Steam wishlists, a funded Kickstarter and a playable demo on Steam.
  • The title is part of Loadout’s first cohort. Before a studio can issue a token on the platform, it has to provide a playable demo and a funding plan.

The Last Worlds: Crossed Souls will launch its $LUPIO token on Loadout, the platform said. Loadout hasn’t given a launch date or any details of the token’s economics.

The Loadout account said on X: “Tokenomics soon.”

In Loadout’s app, $LUPIO carries a “Coming Soon” label. On the main Loadout site the game sits in the “First Cohort Launches Soon” group, which puts it among the platform’s first titles. A contract address for $LUPIO hadn’t been published.

The pitch

Loadout described the game as “a Zelda meets Pokémon open-world RPG built by three brothers” and said it was “Six years in the making.” Work on it reportedly started in 2020.

Three figures backed up the listing in the post. The game has more than 25,000 Steam wishlists and a playable Steam demo, and Kickstarter chose its campaign as a Project We Love.

Lupio Studios is an independent studio based in Italy. The team is made up of brothers Matteo, Pasquale and Vittorio, and an announcement in June 2026 named Matteo Guadagni as founder. The studio is named after Lupio, the game’s companion character.

Zelda, Pokémon and Monster Hunter were the games the brothers say they grew up with, and they’ve named the Dragon Quest series as their biggest inspiration. They’ve also said the game’s design used no AI.

Kickstarter and demo

The campaign launched on Kickstarter on Oct. 1, 2025, and reached its $10,000 goal within 44 hours. It finished at around 150% funded, roughly $16,000.

Had the campaign hit its $30,000 stretch goal, composer Yuko Komiyama would have joined through Scarlet Moon. Komiyama has worked on Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy and Mega Man X.

Backers could get a digital copy from $25 or a physical edition from $49. Pricier tiers added merchandise and let backers design in-game items, locations and pets.

Version 0.1.1 of the demo arrived on Steam on Sept. 16, 2025, with a map that takes one to three hours to play. The studio plans a final map five times bigger, at 15 to 20 hours. If a stretch goal for four extra biomes was reached, the map would grow to about 10 times the demo’s size, at 30 to 40 hours.

Platforms and timing

Lupio Studios is aiming for a full release by the end of 2026 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The console versions are expected to follow the Steam launch a little later.

A Switch 2 version was confirmed in June 2026, and the original Switch is still on the plan. Both Switch versions will be ported once the PC version is done.

Loadout’s model

KuCoin reported that Loadout went live on Solana on Oct. 12, 2026. A post on X said the platform is aimed at indie and AA studios and is led by Illuvium ILV $3.42 ▼ -3% co-founder Kieran Warwick.

Every game token on Loadout has a 5% trading fee, split 4% to the studio treasury and 1% to the protocol. Once referrals and rebates are paid, half (50%) of the protocol’s net fee revenue is used to buy back and burn $LOAD, the platform’s own token.

Presales, private rounds and VC discounts aren’t permitted. A studio that wants to issue a token through a bonding curve first has to hand in a playable demo, design documents, team details, a roadmap and a funding plan.

In mid-October, Loadout paused launches. The team said in an Oct. 15 post that it wanted launches “back up and running as soon as possible.” Lo and Behold, a cozy roguelike from Soulcraft Games, is the next launch on the schedule.

The game

The two playable characters are Matwin, the last human, and Lupio, a rare Nessky. They were both born on NESS-444, an alien planet on the edge of ruin, and they head off to find out where they came from.

Players can swap between them whenever they like. Lupio is quick and agile, while Matwin hits hard, and his TimeFlame power shows him fragments of past events.

Fights happen in real time, unlike the turn-based combat in Dragon Quest. The studio says the game will have more than 20 weapons and spells, along with a crafting system for gear.
