Tiny Tap's Season 2 Publisher NFTs Sold Out

Animoca Brands has announced the complete sale of Season 2 of TinyTap’s Publisher NFTs. This latest venture by TinyTap, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands specializing in educational games, marks a new era in integrating digital assets in the education sector. Community-led Web3 education protocol, Open Campus was responsible for hosting and facilitating the second season.

TinyTap’s Publisher NFTs, a pioneering concept in education, have successfully concluded their second season. This unique initiative involved the sale of 720 Publisher NFTs, which generated a staggering 538,560 EDU tokens. This amount equates to roughly $333,907 at the time of sale, a significant financial boost for the 168 educators involved in creating these NFTs on the TinyTap platform.

Empowering Educators through Technology

TinyTap’s approach to NFTs is not just about revenue generation. It’s a step forward in giving educators more control and earning potential. Each NFT represents co-publishing rights to specific educational content created on TinyTap. Before being linked to an NFT, this content already generates income. Introducing Publisher NFTs means educators now have digital property rights over their content, with a 50% share from the initial NFT sale, a 10% ongoing revenue share, and a 5% royalty on secondary sales.

Yat Siu, the co-founder and chairman of Animoca Brands, said: “The Season 2 Publisher NFTs sale by Open Campus and TinyTap marks a pivotal moment in the march of educational content toward becoming a new asset class. This success underscores the immense potential of digital property rights to unlock new earning opportunities for educators in the digital age.”

The Publisher NFT model is also a win for those who invest in these digital assets. NFT holders become co-publishers, gaining up to an 80% share of the revenue generated by the content linked to their NFTs. This collaborative model allows educators to concentrate on creating high-quality content while NFT holders assist in distributing and marketing.

A New Age for EdTech and Digital Assets

This successful sale underscores the growing relevance of digital assets in the education sector. The collaboration between TinyTap and Open Campus, a community-driven Web3 education protocol, showcases how innovative technology can create real value for educators and transform the landscape of educational content creation and distribution.
