President Zelensky has launched United24 – a new fundraising platform to receive donations from all over the world. United24 supports more than 100 cryptocurrencies such as BNB, ETH, and new-launched $APE.
If you go to the United24 website, you can see a full list of cryptocurrencies supported by the platform.
United24 – Different and Better Than Before
Since the Russian invasion, Ukraine has been calling for donations from all over the world, and the world has been showing its support for the affected nation. However, the country’s spending’s weren’t that transparent.
To solve this issue, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has launched a new fundraising platform where the donors can choose in which sector their donations should be spent.
On the website, you can see that there are currently three areas where you can choose your donations to be spent; Defence and Demining, Medical Aid, and Rebuild Ukraine.
When they receive donations, they will transfer the amount to the National Bank. The Bank will then transfer the donations to the relevant ministries; the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Healthcare, and the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The new platform has been due to some concern about Ukraine’s government’s spending. Some users tweeted that they were hoping their hard-earned crypto would be used to help the people but they are spending it on military and warfare.
This initiative will make the spending transparent – the donors will be able to choose where their crypto donations should be spent. On top of that, the govt will share a weekly report where they will detail how and where their donations were spent – to win the trust and increase donations.
