Ultra, the blockchain-based gaming platform, has introduced a new $1 million Developer Grant Program designed to accelerate the growth of web3 games and tools within its ecosystem.
Flexible Grant Options for All Project Stages
The program offers three grant tiers to suit different development phases. Micro Grants (up to $5,000) support early ideas and prototypes, Seed Grants (up to $50,000) help more developed apps and tools, and Strategic Grants (up to $250,000) are reserved for larger projects expected to make a major impact on the Ultra ecosystem.
Each grant follows a milestone-based funding model, ensuring that teams deliver on key goals before receiving additional funds.
How to Apply
Developers interested in the program must complete a detailed online form that outlines their project’s concept, development roadmap, target users, and funding needs. Additional materials like business plans or product demos can be added via a shared Grant Committee, which includes members and advisors from within the Ultra ecosystem.
Projects are assessed based on technical feasibility, alignment with Ultra’s goals, and overall potential impact.
If a project passes the initial review, it enters a community voting phase where $UOS token holders can vote on shortlisted proposals. Projects that receive enough community support then proceed to legal and milestone planning discussions before funding is finalized.
Ultra reviews applications on a rolling basis, with a standard four-week evaluation cycle and no official deadline for submissions. Apply here.
Why Developers Choose Ultra
Ultra’s blockchain is purpose-built for gaming and supports zero gas fees, fast transactions under half a second, and tools to ensure performance even during network congestion. Developers can stake $UOS tokens to secure bandwidth and cover transaction fees for their users, keeping gameplay smooth and affordable.
The platform is written in C++, making it accessible to many game developers. Ultra also offers tools like SDKs, APIs, analytics, and WalletConnect integration, along with a native NFT standard called Uniq that supports low-cost deployment of in-game assets.
