Game developer Zillion Whales has revealed details about the upcoming launch of its web3 real-time strategy game, Wild Forest, across PC and mobile app stores as its beta phase ends.
Alongside the global launch, the company is introducing season 2 of its play-to-airdrop campaign, offering 2.5x rewards compared to the first season.
Players in Wild Forest can earn rewards by completing in-game missions, climbing the leaderboard, and participating in the WF token community round. Staking Lord NFTs for 90 days is another way to qualify for the WF airdrop.
Wild Forest has been in soft launch since November 2023 and released its first NFTs on Ronin in February 2024. To address the issue of certain game assets becoming obsolete as the beta phase concludes, the team has introduced Forge. This feature allows users to convert old beta assets into Essence, a resource that can be used to acquire new items in the game’s Forge Shop set to launch in early July.
Forge currently supports the conversion of items such as Beta Units, broken NFTs, and both offchain and onchain Release Units. The amount of Essence users receive is determined by their rank and level in the game, with different ratios for Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary Release Units. Read more here.
Following the official launch of Wild Forest, users will have a 4-week window to convert their beta items before Release Units are burned and Beta Units become non-usable. This move aims to ensure a smooth transition for players as the game progresses.
